Fly Agaric Confirmation

Growing close-by the Columbia River at the PNW on the side of the road.
Unsure if I will consume as I am concerned if they may have sucked up any soil pollutants as it was close by the road, also seems the snails ate parts of some. I accidentally dropped the bag they were in and some have fallen apart. Still, please I want an ID confirmation to be certain.
I appreciate it in advance,

People on this site tend not to eat Amanita muscaria. If you are in the PNW there is an abundance if Psilocybe species you can hunt.

I'm curious of it's culinary use and to observe it's effects on depression. Thank you for your answers.

"...In fact Japanese researchers found that muscimol is about twenty times more effective by weight than monosodium glutamate (MSG) at enhancing flavors..." I'm very curious of this bit here!
Mister Hakr Elite, I'm wondering how did you prepare the mushroom and did you observe anything unfavorable? Mods sorry if it's an inappropriate question, you may delete if so.
Great video, I love Japanese people.

You may find this interesting. This was a drug synthesized from miscimol and acted on the GABA system the same way "z-drugs" act. Pretty interesting history behind it.

I steeped 1/4 of a fresh small cap in water heated at 90 Celsius (before boil point) for about 7-10 minutes with lemon and honey, I chased it with 3 chunks of raw garlic. The mushroom had a delicious nutty-woody taste, I really enjoyed my tea. No stomach upset other than the garlic burning sensation which subdued after a few minutes. I drank the tea at approximately 11pm and although I had a long day of walking many many miles (I took some strong honey infused with cannabis in the afternoon and went strolling around) and am recovering from a bad painful torn ACL, I started feeling rather energized until 2am and my injured knee was surprisingly fine (it's been hurting since February 2020).
It's 9:30am and my breath still reeks of garlic. The mushroom is air drying by my heater and tonight I shall finish the drying process with the assistance of the oven. I decided to keep them for science's sake (although I'm still a little bit concerned if it has absorbed any pollutants from the streets).
I think the only observation I can make so far with certainty is a noticeable energy boost with the smallish amount I consumed.
I am not encouraging others to attempt what I did at home, I think it's important to understand the potential risks and dangers and take a decision only after reading extensively on the topic.
Anyone has any stories they feel comfortable to share? I'm curious of the "clear head" some report on the next day, of it's effects on depression and it's culinary use, the flavor is indeed good.
Safe Travels,

i let them brew in nearly simmering water for a couple hours let it get thick and orange and nasty and drink it with milk one cup at a time until i start feeling buzzed. then if you want the full experience drink your pee and smoke the top of the cap

Thank you! Do you peel off and dry the top of caps before simmering it? I'm assuming yes. I was wondering if parboling for +15 minutes, and saving the water for later consumption to take trips and using the mushroom for regular cooking is good or if there are better things I should be aware of. I'm definitely curious of the pee, I will attempt to drink it next time if it doesn't reek too strong.
When smoking, do you roll it in a joint or a use a pipe/bong?

i dont use them often. use the whole mushroom in the brew, fresh or dried. you could probably do what you said about parboiling and using it for cooking but it might just be a soggy mess to cook with. freeze leftover tea/soma.
either way on smoking it, glass vessels maybe work best but you can try mixing it with bud or tobacco or salvia or scotch broom or mullein. try consuming with psilocybe sometime too its a different experience. try throwing other magic plants in too once you know what you are doing. passionflower, lotus, etc. remember small doses at first, and give it a break between doses, there is no rush you have your whole life to experiment

I smoked a small amount, the taste is very pleasant like of roasted nuts. Immediately can feel a warm buzz and a mild head high.

I boiled a half a small cap with lots of garlic, bay leave, spices and tomatoes for 30 minutes, I then strained the solid stuff and pureed it to a sauce and I reserved the broth. I ate homemade ravioli with the sauce and drank the broth on an empty stomach at night, I experienced shortly an unusual drunk feeling as in the room, things and shapes were morphing, colors got vibrant and resembled a funny cartoon, I think I had some auditory hallucinations or could be enhanced perception of sound. Copuld definitely feel like my body was shrinking or expanding like Luigi. I fell asleep in a drunken stupor after smoking some Indica flower. No vivid dreams.
Edit: It was a good experience as I can't drink anymore, I danced quite a bit to Andrew Weatherall by myself.

Thanks for sharing! No vivid dreams huh? I wonder if that has to do something with putting that Indica into the mix?

Other observations:
A few days ago I made for dinner an omelette with 1/4th of a small minced fresh mushroom, stem and cap included (no parboiling). I used a non stick cast iron skillet: I grilled the mushroom on medium-low with plenty of oil until it fully caramelized (almost 30minutes), I then added butter and garlic and cooked some more, added the eggs, aged cheddar, a good amount of salt and pepper, parsley and finished it on low heat. By far the most flavorful omelette of my life, the savoriness was so complex it's beyond words. No undesired side effects, no dreams or hallucinations. I recall observing a mental clarity the next morning and a productive day (I've been depressed not doing much lately). I'm unsure if the mushroom contributed to the mental clarity and productive day because I have been pushing myself to overcome my depression lately.
Two evenings later I ate 1/4th of a dried cap but of the same mushroom I made the omelette with when it was fresh. My stomach started hurting shortly after, I decided to drink plenty of ginger tea and smoked a little weed and the discomfort subdued after a couple hours. No dreams or hallucinations besides the stomach discomfort.
Edit: This was an interesting read http://www.bayareamushrooms.org/education/further_reflections_amanita_muscaria.html

i have cooked and eaten them before in small amounts, but never wanted to eat them for their effects because they sound unpleasant to me, however, they are delicious, and it is interesting to hear from others, thanks for sharing
it is so strange how extreme they are, deadly to delicacy, and other things in between lol
