Oyster Heaven and a few unkowns.
    #27031697 - 11/10/20 01:59 PM (3 years, 2 months ago)

Found a ton of Oysters around the pond while fishing today!!!

Sadly my gluttony for oyster's stopped at this final tree:smirk: They were just too far up for me to reach!

Armillaria?

And I still would love to know what these are! This time around I'll let em grow and find out:wink:

Affirmative on the armillaria

it is super exciting for me to see big fruitings of anything lol they usually catch my eye in a big way, i get the excitement 100%

your 'oysters' you need to show the underside and how it attaches to the wood too, it has a similar appearance, but i would not say they are oysters without seeing that, plus that is a super wet habitat, those things must be like sponges

can't id the other ones either, some of them appear to be just starting to grow, and unless you've watched the same ones grow over season/s and know for  sure, noone else knows either, you know?

my mother said, to get things done, you'd better not mess with Major Tom...whose status is the baddest, everytime 'they' bless the apparatus

They are oysters 100%. I pick them from the same trees year after year, plus oysters are one mushroom that I will never misidentify, or I definitely wouldn't have eaten any last night

Anyway, nearly all of them were in pristine condition, but one or two more days and they would have been bad. I ended up with nearly five pounds worth too.

Also, none were wet or waterlogged, or I wouldn't have bothered picking them.

I have some stem butts going on cardboard right now too, so it will be exciting to see if that will work, wish me luck :awesomenod:
