Fresh air and humidity pump questions
    #27029449 - 11/09/20 01:01 AM (3 years, 2 months ago)

Hi guys n gals. I have a fish pump running through a quart jar with some hydroton and some polyfill. I run from this bubbler to my monotub. Loose fitting  top. Anyone else tried this that can share results? Am i wasting my time? Got 2oz first flush crispy dry.

well i would say it's extreme the fish pump, but if you got fruits out of it that is a plus. Just read up on surface conditions there's plenty of threads on here. You need to learn how to control the surface conditions and that air pump will be junk.

I have been reading alot but to be honest there is a ton of contradicting information. That was my first decent try so far but i didnt let the monotub go long enough before introducing fruiting conditions.  I see some say mist and fan. Others small holes. Others big holes with polyfil... i know ill learn as i go

yes there is a lot of information out there. check my sig it may help you out as i try to lay the steps simple as possible. Basically if it is colonized you want tiny water droplets on the surface. I never fan I just open it when I need to mist.

I have not tried it, and honestly I would not try it

it is overcomplicating what is the best part of a dialled in monotub... it is it's own microclimate and you shouldn't need anything elaborate to make it work

unless you are trying to grow pans or something, but for cubes all of this shit is just a distraction IMHO

even temp and RH gauges can not tell you what your eyes will tell you after a few tubs with you paying proper attention to moisture content

but yes for sure there is conflicting information and a lot of outdated methods. If you confine your searches to the last few years you will be working with a lot more current info

and of course I am not trying to poopoo your ideas man, if it works and it makes you happy then by all means do it, but you asked if it was overkill and I reckon it is
