Taking a trip for internal benefits

Say I want to drop some L and work on myself. Deep seeded type things. What type of advice does anyone have. I’m extremely comfortable with psychedelics. I’ve just never really sat down high and really tried to sort things out the way I know I’m able to in that head space. Any advice is appreciated!

Mushrooms are a better tool for self reflection. LSD can lead to circular and irrational thinking that can be hard to pull out of and may get stressful because of the duration. Not saying it can't be used, but you'd better have a firm grasp on your mind if you are gonna start digging up problems on it or you may fall victim to anxiety.

You don't even need a high dose of mushies for them to work their magic either. No science required. Eat the shrooms alone, lay back, let it wash over you. The things you want to think about will come out all by themselves. Ride the waves. Just be quiet and let it happen.

What usually works for me is leaving internet/entertainment/music off, setting myself up in a space that is comfortable and I can stay put in for the whole day straight, and kicking up the dosage a notch. 

What do you typically do on psychedelics?  Do you typically do basic things that are somewhat distracting mentally, such as going on walks, listening to music, play music, etc?

Golden advice. I don't know about LSD since I've never used it but mushrooms always give me something I need to see so that I can work on myself.

just work to be relaxed, loosening tensions that form, let thoughts occur and pass,
neither defend or attack your thought forms,
keep contact with the floor, and the space around you.

whatever happens come back to this letting go and follow the breathing in and out.

the object is calm tranquility and gentleness.

Yeah, basically this.  Find a safe place, ideally a nice comfortable cozy house, and set up the scene.  Clean the house, for music ideally have records and a record player, and turn off the computers and the phone.  Kick up the dosage as well, aim for about 350-400ug of LSD-25, and you will let the trip figure itself out.  This will really let you just let the trip thoughts flow and tell you so much about what's around you, who you are, and how you connect to what's around you.  As well as what you really and who you really are.

Ideally this journey is taken with a very trusted friend, because being alone can bring up feelings such as anxiety, being scared, loneliness, worries that are irrational.  But if alone, it can also lead to much deeper and uninterrupted exploration.
