Prepare for Legalization

Now that many drugs have been legalized in Oregon, and Denver and DC have both decriminalized mushrooms, what can we do to prepare to profit from eventual mushroom legalization? Can we look at the history of the legal marijuana economy? How can we put ourselves in place to make a living off of our hobby when the time comes?

Legal and profitable are quite separate notions, it’s hard to make money healing people without corporate claws getting involved.

I was about to say the same. There's a good documentary on Netflix (sorry, don't remember the name) about the Marijuana industry. There's basically just a few huge marijuana companies. The only silver lining is these companies could possibly use their cash to lobby for mushroom legalization so we could grow are own.

I know a few people in my town who have growers licenses and just sell to the local dispensaries. You're telling me that's not going to work for mushrooms?

I can't speak of your area. The documentary I watched indicated that a few large companies basically own almost all of the legal marijuana in every state where it's legal in some capacity. The large companies will come in and offer you a huge cash a payout for your license and keep you on the payroll. Then buy the dispensary business as well. The large companies a large enough now that once they get their foot in the door they can afford to operate at a loss in a new state.
So let's say state X just went legal. The state grants 10 license. A couple of companies come in and get one or maybe buy out a little guy. They can afford to sell at a loss and squeeze out the little guy because the little guy can't afford to sell at the same price so he'll eventually sell out too.
There is 0 reason to imagine this wouldn't happen with mushrooms as well in my opinion.

It's generally understood that you don't discuss growing mushrooms for profit on this website.

If you were wondering how to transition to when mushrooms are legal, and possibly available to purchase, then you need to hone your craft and if it does become legal then you can apply to be a vendor.Edit: I am stupid, I mean supplier. I would just focus on being able to keep everything sterile.
That's how it started with cannabis. I can't imagine this being different.
But a bunch of people will also want to do the same thing and they'll be total newbies
Then again who knows what will happen

Don't care about money. Just want to go into a store and buy it. Can order online but is shady and I don't like the feeling of it.
Yes I have spent time in jail for drugs as they call plants and in this case lsd and endless probation which is so inane but hence the system. Great to be out of it.
Confused about decrime of it. So if you grow it and sell it then it is illegal. But if you buy it is it illegal? Or just if you are caught with it then with a small amount all is well?
Tired of this shit and wouldn't even care until like Williams Burroghs wrote, THE FEAR HAS GOTTEN INTO HIM! Or something to that effect. Harvard grad, didn't have it. Poor college dropout with a public pretender, got fucked over hard. So I take precautions. That period of my life really sucked.
AND YOU DESERVE IT! That is Utah.
