ID Request Psilocybe semilanceata
    #27015016 - 11/01/20 01:58 AM (3 years, 3 months ago)

Hi

This is my first post and i hope my first find off the liberty cap.
I have found them yesterday in a big grass field between the woods in Belgium.

My english is not wow in these new terms but i can give it a try

i think most info is seen on the pictures.

i thought spore prints must be black-purple but they look more brown i think.

they all ready dried one night.

thanks

Although we normally refrain from giving positive identifications on dried material, it appears you have P. semilanceata.

Please remember to bring a camera for your next hunt and take pictures of fresh mushrooms in their natural habitat.

Welcome to the Shroomery. :toast:

Ok thank you!

Normal i do take a shot from almost every mushroom i see (because they are so fascinating) but when i see them i was so excited i picked it before i take a shot.

I already spend many days and hours searching in my area.
I will go back tomorrow same place

Here is a shot from the day before. thought it was not such a good shot.

You are correct in that indoor pictures are of less value for identification.
However, looking at your picture of the fresher specimen leaves no doubt at all.

Always take shots of the fresh mushrooms for ID.

These are from my hunt yesterday.
Its freezing one night. 0 degrees, is it true that this is the end for the liberty cap this year?

Are their any deadly variants?

I hope they are all Psilocybe semilanceata in all the photos I've posted.
