Cleaners for FC
    #27026266 - 11/07/20 07:57 AM (3 years, 2 months ago)

So I know people have asked about what cleaners people use. Seems bleach is a common one. Does anyone use Hydrogen Peroxide 9% ? I have been told recently I should give it a go and that it will work better and quicker than bleach from someone who ran a cleaning business that often dealt with molds and such for years until they retired. Anyone know how well this would work for the mushroom business FC and even for the Flow Hood areas?

That seems pretty pricey, I like bleach because it is cheap.

Yea I asked about that. I was told that bleach doesn't really kill anything unless it sits for 15 minutes. But the peroxide will basically "instantly" kill and penetrate and get the roots sort of thing. And that you don't really need to wash it off so that it dries in place and it will continue to activate when it gets moist and comes in contact with molds and stuff. Although washing is kinda the point of cleaning or at least one aspect to get dirt stuff off. And then it was explained that in the long run I would probably use less because it would clean better and help keep back molds and such that much better. And it was explained that using it on the flow hood area would work exceptionally well in conjunction with the UV light from the sun, as my flow hood area has sunlight. Not sure how it compares to isopropyl alcohol for that. But that is why I am asking if anyone knows  in comparison to mushrooms. But to get the 9% you buy a 30% and dilute so the cost isn't maybe as expensive as we might be thinking is how it was explained.
