Different types of Cubensis mushrooms and their effects

I'm looking for a list of the different effects from different cubensis strains, in particular B+, Amazonian and Golden Teacher. It's for an article I'm writing, so looking for both feedback and research related info.
From my experience, B+ seems to produce the most mellow body effect, compared to Amazonian which seems to be very heady and intense.
Any feedback much appreciated!

I've tried B+, Amazonian, Equdors and GTs and can't say I notice any difference between them. There's alot of marketing nonsense behind it all, generally a cube is a cube unless it's the penis envy strain wich is a unique cubensis strain and noticeably more potent.

yea, the grow substrate with the strain determines potency. not like there's other major compounds, at least none that i know about. they have different levels of psilocybin and psilocin ratios. (psilocybin gets converted to psilocin in the liver but mushrooms also have it already present to some degree) the compounds are converted to other compounds too when bruised blue the oxidization of psilocin creates psilocyl six different compounds.
Quote:
All of the six mushroom pigments the team identified are products of a cascade reaction starting with psilocybin. A phosphatase enzyme takes off its phosphate group, converting it into psilocin. An oxidising laccase then creates psilocyl radicals, which combine to form C-5 coupled subunits and then further polymerise via C-7.
you can read about it
its body, environment and set and setting, one experience varies from the next.

Genetics determines potency and spectrum of effects (if you can detect it), substrate is only a minor factor at best. And genetics vary in any grow from any strain until isolation, which is why so many different results are found.

Yeah, each grow will result in different genetics.
So when you grow from spores (print or syringe) you get a unique batch of mushrooms.
What vendor A sells as "GoldenTeachers" will result in something different than what vendor B sells as "GoldenTeachers". Sure they will look pretty similar.. but the genetics differ, and that is what determins the potency and spectrum of effects.
Humans cannot birth twins from multiple sperms. They are sibligs, but will look and behave different. The same way differ shrooms grown from multiple spores.
Because of all this it's totally worthless to ask which variety of cubes gives what kind of effects. If person A grows some B+ they will feel different to what person B feels from his B+.
Also, everybody reacts differently to these kind of drugs. Even with the same batch of mushrooms, two different persons will get two different experiences.

But I think this specifically is where the confusion is coming from. Because sibling will neither look nor behave totally different. Siblings will look and "be" more similar compared to each other than to some random person.

Varieties within cubes, all else being equal (which is rare), will indeed produce phenotypes more typical than other varieties. But potency isn't exactly visible and IME only loosely correlated with appearance (PE varieties aside as usual).

It all boils down to genetics. I've had b+ that was super heady and gave a good mind fuck. I've had b+ that were more visual with a clear head with barely any mind trip. In general, south american strains seem to be pretty potent. Thai and cambodian I've heard are super potent also.

What I've always done, even with cannabis strains (which I still think to a degree can only be controlled so much after a point, and I'm ALWAYS super skeptical of someone just "hearing this batch is called", etc.; always source DIRECT whenever possible!), is keep a personal diary or log.
What does each strain smell like, feel like, etc.?
How does it make you feel?
How long was the onset based on dosage taken, etc.?
IDK I'm just a nerd, but I've noticed that method has greatly helped my hindsight since I started logging about 5 years back.

Worst and best trips were on Golden Teachers.
OEV/CEV, multiple ego deaths during same trip. Scared the hell out of me, now I approach more cautious, 4 grams limit now instead of 6, 8 or 12 grams, I don't recommend 12g to anyone...take my word for it.
YOU can still play kick ball with your brain on any cube, just gotta find your dosage. Veteran of Z strain, Cambodian, B+, Golden coast, PE, GT.
