quick LC question

They say you want around 4% sugar content in a broth?
That seems way to high . I usually fill a jar with 600ml of water and add 8g of malt extract powder. This seems to be ok with decent fast growth. But even this seems a bit much.
Mush boy says 1g per 250 ml.
If it were 4% ( for a 600ml LC ) that would be 24 g which seems insane.
how much malt extract per 100ml of water is the best for fast growth?

It’s all over the place, some people do like .05% I think.
They all seem to work I think the main criteria for nutrients is how long you’re planning on keeping it around.

0.1% or 0.2%. I like 0.2%. The broth comes out very clear and there's more nutrition at that ratio than the myc can use. More LME than that will make the broth cloudier, which is something you usually want to avoid with LC's.
So 1 or 2 grams of LME to a liter of water.

I think you mixed up 4% and 0.4%.
0.4% is a pretty common recipe, 4% is asking for some bacterial bisque

I use .5g lme per 500ml and it comes out like this..

I dont heat or boil the broth. Just the lme, cold water, let it sit for a bit to dissolve, pc 15-20min.

Cold mixing always gives me sediment after the cycle. I had to stop doing it. If I don't bring my LME to at least nearly a boil I can be sure to see sediment after the cycle. I don't understand how the opposite seems to be the case for you mush.

I used cold water and an immersion blender to mix up my broth today and still had an enormous amount of sediment. Granted I used twice the amount of recommended LME, but still. It looks like swamp water.
I'm looking forward to making a better batch tomorrow.

Everytime I use heat the sediment clumps. No clue maybe it's my water or your weird euro malt
