Interesting. I'm very very curious to see how Oregon is going to go about producing legal shrooms.

They won't produce legal shrooms until it is legalized for recreational use and or medicinal use like cannabis was.
I'd hope for it to stay medical where you can go through a little process and are able to have therapy/buy them.
I'm not sure if they should or will ever become recreational and sold out of dispensaries, I'm not sure the world is ready for that step yet. It'll be a slow but fast process, similar to how cannabis sweeped the nation medically at first. I think decriminalization, allowing to grow personally and legal for medicinal use would be just fine.

I hear ya.
I don't even want to ever see "recreational" sales of mushrooms being sold openly from stores. I mean it's cool that has kinda happened in the Netherlands (in a major grey area from what I understand, or tolerated), I get it, but that's not the direction I want to see things go and a different direction I think would be more successful . Keeping the aspect of sales from stores out of things I feel will help with allowing these plants to be "free" again and fully in the hands of the people. I think a lot more people would be alright with allowing adults to grow mushrooms/plants at their own home/property versus allowing actual stores/dispensaries to openly sell mushrooms and other psychedelic plants to those 18+.
Decrim the possession, growing, and consumption of all psychedelic/entheogenic organisms from nature and leave it at that. But I'm talking full on decriminalization where one won't even get a fine/penalty of any sort at all for possessing/growing/consuming. Making nature and altering one's mind no longer a criminal act is all that needs to be done. Doesn't need to be set up for commercial production/sales/capatali$m
Under the umbrella of that therapists would be allowed to conduct sessions with mushrooms and other psychedelics/entheogens.
Maybe allow certain stores to sell "supplies" and live plants but no active doses or things prepped for dosing...Things like spores/grow kits, cactus (whole live cactus, not dried/powder), caapi vine and chacruna, iboga, mimosa and acacia seeds/cuttings, etc etc to those 18+ . Allow those places to hold classes/workshops on how to grow mushrooms/etc and other related things in regards to growing and working with psychedelic plants.
I also would love to see things like LSD and MDMA and MDA and other "synthetic" substances that have a lot to offer fully decriminalized as well...but I'm not sure what sort of frame-work would work out for those considering the production/synthesis required and many other things.
....but the "frame-work" I have in mind and what I want to see in regards to the "natural" psychedelics/entheogens will work and is an actual possibility from my point of view.
The way Oregon has it right now, with mushroom therapy being allowed under measure 109 and ALL drugs being decriminalized under measure 110, it is pretty darn close to how I personally would like to see things and would be totally happy/content with...close but not quite...Measure 110 did decrim the possession of all drugs, but one can still get a $100 fine for possession (which can be waived entirely) and technically if one was ever caught up somehow with growing mushrooms at home or brewing up ayahuasca or making some cactus tea it'd still be something one can get charged for.
Not to discount or make less of what has happened in Oregon, measure 110 was a huge leap and I hope to see other states follow. It's great that one won't be put into a cage for possessing a plant/drug and choosing to alter their consciousness and help for those that truly need it will be made much more available (along with stigma related to "getting help" eroding away over time).

Beautiful sign of the times pic, Logical_Chaos!
The times sure are a-changing.
It sounds to me like they are going to manufacture pharmaceutical psilocybin, press it to tablets like Sandoz did and distribute those to the licenced therapy facilities.

Yeah Im curious on the form they are going to put it in. Will it be shrooms ground up and put into capsules? Or will it be similar to marijuana with dab concentrates with Psilocybin tablets?
I cant wait to find out
If I were to guess, I would predict there is gonna be three main forms: ground up and put into capsules, ground up and mixed with chocolate/treats, and extracted psilocybin tablets like you mentioned.

We have seen what a danger human progress can be to nature. We have also seen weed change very quickly due to legal production. I believe that when shrooms are legal, they may be exploited and changed in a similar way. How will this change? Is this a good thing? We need to take our actions into account before any support of legalization.

I've seen on the Shroomery that recently a new procedure for the production of psilocybin was developed where they in a lab produce a kilo of the stuff and "which can be scaled up to industrial quantities.
So, they likely are going to go with synthetic psilocybin.
Alternatively they might grow it like antibiotics, in oxygenated liquid culture of high yielding mycelium in vats of 10,000 liters or more, and then isolate it.

Yeah I think I read something about that on here awhile back. They found a way to genetically alter yeast to produce psilocybin in quantities greater than that found in the most potent of mushroom species. Cheap and efficient. Now how come something like that can't escape the lab instead of a damn virus?lol maybe they can administer it in a liquid form! Therapeutic shroom beerπ€€
