Gymnopilus luteus? found near Brussles on a tree
    #27019778 - 11/03/20 04:02 PM (3 years, 2 months ago)

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody could help me id these shrooms they really look like Gymnopilus but I am too afraid to eat them since there are some slight differences from what I can find online and also there is no blue bruising on them.

I would really appreciate any help since I think it could be a rare find.

Welcome to Shroomery!
To me - and I'm by no means a pro - they look more like armillaria sp.
Spore print should be white.

Thank you! Happy to be in this community

Oh man am I happy to read this!

I couldn't get a spore print, maybe because I picked them before they grow spores, but I will try again after drying them.

Thanks again!

Edit:

Just realized that I was too excited and these are in fact not psychedelic, but thank you again for the help!

You won't find G. luteus in Belgium. These are, as already said, obviously Armillaria sp.

If you are interested in hallucinogenic species, you should rather try to find Psilocybe semilanceata.
