Cake not pinning, what should I do?
    #27018768 - 11/03/20 06:41 AM (3 years, 2 months ago)

Hi all,

I've been reading a lot of posts on this forum but I can't figure out which post comes the closest to my situation. Last year I grew a growkit but the yield wasn't that good, after some reading I decided to try it another time but this time with a sfgc. Because I didn't want to make my own cake just yet, I bought another grow kit and put it in the sgfc. One week has gone by and it looks like almost nothing happened, only some white faom on the bottom (which I think indicates that there isn't enough FAE. Currently I'm misting 4 times a day and don't fan a lot because the cake seems to dry out quickly.
Do you guys have any tips??
The package said mist 3 times in the growing bag and keep it closed all day for the first period. Does that mean it's still colonizing and that it needs high CO2 and that I put it too early in the sgfc??

im sure it will pin very soon dude, looks like its on the verge of pinning, mist the shit out of the perlite, mist then fan. its the water evaporating off the cakes that will be a big pinning trigger.

Thanks! I will fan a bit more, I thought the SGFC would take care of this by itself so I didnt fan at all.
