hey domey! i havent found anything yet... but i had heard that the walden pond area in lincon MA is a good area to look once the time gets right, have you heard the same thing? and do you know what can be found there?

Havn't found much...
1-Coprinus Atromentosis 2 weeks ago.... 2- Little Orange one's with extreamly decurrent gills...?? "very tiny specimens"..last week?? Hygrocybe?? 3-Dark Brown chocolate cup Fungi yesterday... 4-And Found some LBM'S today...growing cespositely, at the base of old growth maple....
Be on the lookout for Morel's....

Ooh I'll be spending some of the summer in Southern Maine...do you usually find anything there?? I guess Pan Subbs grow there, but what else do you look for? Any info would be great from a fellow new england hunter!

I've hunted close to that area...next town over... you can expect to find any and all of the mushrooms, located in southern New England there at thier specific fruiting times throughout the year..
The only actives you may encounter , -G. Spectabilis sept. - nov. (you can smell em) -ps. carulipes june -august (elusive blue foot, "good luck") -A. muscaria var formosa sept. -nov (fruits in abundance)
-panaeolus subbalteatus may-aug. (if you are fortunate enough to find stables and lucky enough not to draw suspicion to yourself)..

i live in western ma and im experenced with mushrooms but not hunting for them so can anyone give me any tips and places to look i would appreshiate it

have you guys heard anything about hunting in the walden pond area,,, ive searched through the woord of my town in MA, but havent found anything,, alsoanyone know of any mycology clubs in the boston/ metro west area, that may be helpfull in finding more! any help will be greatly appreciated

The BMC, boston mycological club... type it into google.. they are pretty active... no pun intended.. good luck nofindum.. happy hunting...
Not alot of fungal life yet in the northeast.. i've been finding my first finds of the year..
coprinus polyporus squamosus lbm's and a few others..
nothing of mutch interest...keep looking they'll be comming up in a week or 2....
