Can someone give my the short version on oxidation/bruising/potency/drying

Please guys give a quick input on the subject if you dont mind, all these 17 years old threads are messing with me
1. I try to get my mind around the drying and oxidation process. If dried wrong or to slow, will it effect potency?? What schould i not do? What to look for?
2. So now i seeing that some of my fruits i harvested 3 days ago has bruises up almost whole stem, even without me touching them. I dry them in front of a fan. Is this bad, self bruising like that? What does it mean? It bruises af where ever i touch them otherwise but some of them has self bruised, are they less potent now? And what am i doing to make them self bruise?3. if i touch stems much during harvest, it will of course bruise much . So if i do, will a "untouched" fruit with no bruising be more potent then a bruised one? In theory were both fruits would be as potent to begin with. 4. "gentle brusing" (Just on surface of stem? Because it was so gently touched?) I have padded down some of my fuzzy feet, very gently but that has of course left some bruised up fruits. Have this fruits decreased in potency because of i padded down the fuzzy feet? I have not squeezed hard at all, but they bruised pretty good anyway. So these are not real bruising i guess, just the myc/fuzzy feet on stem. No oxidation of inner tissue? Please guys, i know you are all busy but i would really appreciate some input here im standing with a big harvest and dont want to loose potency!

1. Yes
2. No it's fine bruising isnt an indicator of potency.
3. bruising isnt about potency so.. no.
4. No
Fan drying 'works' but get a food dehydrator. Level up.

Thank you so mush!
I acutally was not talking about bruising as a indicator for potency in any of the questions. I was talking about if the actual bruising is decreasing potency of fruit.

I don’t think the bruising is going to affect potency in any noticeable way. Cheers!

Thank you! Even if its self bruising after 3 days without touch? Surely there is something that make it bruise

Guess that's what you get when you ask for the short version.

If all tissue is oxidated, isnt that bad? Loss of potency

In theory, yes. I don't know because i don't let it happen. I grow them and dry them quickly. Then seal well until consumption. Best I can say is that it's common knowledge that oxygen (and other things) break down the actives.
I think far too many people repeat what they've heard and read as if they are solid scientific facts.

Possibly, but you did ask for it.
