    #27015988 - 11/01/20 04:13 PM (3 years, 2 months ago)

Hello everyone! I am having an issue with my 70qt monotub I have been in fruiting for a little more than 2 weeks and from what i can tell everything looks good. Well it started to pin about a week in to fruiting but its literally only in one spot no where else in the tub so i figured id give it another week to see more come but nothing is changing please help and thank you to everyone in this community.

That’s not doing well but the cluster looks healthy.

Have you been misting the tub? It needs to be dialed in right to keep the myc healthy and covered in water beads.

There might be some bacterial stuff going on too but the main issue is getting the right conditions dialed in.

I followed teks exactly when I started and had tons of problems until I realized my climate is much drier than normal so I needed to alter things some. It looks like you might be in a similar situation where you need to alter the tubs somewhat to fit your conditions.

I’m not great at reading myc but it looks a lot like my early tubs where I over misted them and also had too much air so they were drying out. The yellow green color all over is the mycelium dying.

Somebody that knows better will probably come through but my guess is things are swinging too extreme in both directions.

Once the surface gets super matted like that it’s tough to keep good conditions. Mine eventually sprouted new myc from the dead stuff once I fixed things and left it alone.

If this is your first flush it’s too dry. You can tell because the substrate is already pulling away from the sides of your tub. This occurs as moisture evaporates out of your substrate. Typically you see this occurring after your first/second flush, and is why dunking is common.
