Would you keep, dried black

Hello, I picked these libs on Friday and it was a good haul of about 300. All looked pretty fresh and good to go. I dried them all together using a fan and they went black very quickly. They smell the same as others that have dried white as expected. Would you say they are safe to keep? See two pics of normal batch and this batch. The only difference in process was I had more than usual this time and I had soaked them in water for a little bit first before starting to dry. Hope they are fine as there about 300 caps and don't want to throw them!!

Are they dry? If there dry as a bone go ahead I'd say they dropped spores since you dropped them in water ....

Looked at your photos and instantly thought that they must have been considerably wetter like sitting in a puddle of water and water traped in-between the stems maybe, then I read that you had soaked them.
how long did you soak them for and how much water did you soak them in? was there "lots" of water still on them when you'd put them in the dish to dry?
If they don't smell off then they are probably good to eat, but I would keep them separate from your other ones and test for potency.

Thanks both for replying. Yes i dropped them in a pint glass full of water and dunked them a few times to try and get rid of any bugs, only a couple of mins if that. I wasnt gentle though.. I then put them on a towel before fan drying. It was also a really wet day/week here when I picked them.

and now they are like 90% dry, should be 100% by tomorrow morning. I should also add the water turned quite black but i think that always happens when I wash libs.

well doesn't sound too bad might have taken a hit in regards to potency. as I said test a small amount and see how it goes.
Next time put them at least on a radiator or try a dehydrator.
