Let me preface this by saying that the following if my first ever experience with LSD. I have done shrooms multiple times, as well as DMT and I was really looking forward to LSD.
I have tried 4 out of the 5 tabs of owsley 150ug and have not ONCE had any visual effects.
All of them I did the same way. Holding under my tongue for up to an hour before swallowing them.
The first one I did at 9am a few weeks ago. Nothing other than a burst of energy. The second time I took one at 10pm two weeks ago. Felt pretty much nothing so took another at 11pm. The only reaction from it was being angry and wide awake until about 7am the next morning. I took the fourth one this Friday at noon. Within about an hour I got a HUGE rush of energy. Like what I’d imagine meth would be like. I haven’t been that intensely energetic since I took too many over the counter ephedrine/ephedra pills to stay awake back in my college days.
I was wondering if perhaps my medications are causing problems. I take 250mg of Nuvigil (armodafinil) every morning when I wake up. This is to help me with my Hypersonmia. I also take 75mg of Clopidogrel in the morning each day.
Is it possible that the Nuvigil is interacting with the LSD? Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated.
I’ve attached a short video clip (I can’t upload photos for some reason) of the items I mentioned (taken after my first (failed) trip.
Also please let me know if I need to clean up/remove anything from this post.

Hi there,
LSD is beeing metabolized mainly by the enzyme "Cytochrome P450". https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0006295219301480
Armodafinil inhibits cytochrome P450.
This could be the reason why the effects you get from LSD are so fragmentary.
LSD is a stimulant, depending on the dose it keeps you awake for 14 to 20+ hours. Ironically it can cause some kind of sedation during the peak. Whenever I dose a bit higher (200mics and up) I get glued to my couch for two to three hours.

What Pandemoon said, but if not, then it's just low dosed LSD. You seem to describe being at around 40ug of LSD - energized, slightly agitated, not settled, and wide awake. So maybe each tab is just very weak, or your armodafanil is stopping it.
Thankfully you should have no problem skipping a day or two of that med to take the LSD.

That's really interesting. If LSD isn't psychedelic in the absence of that enzyme, does that mean LSD is really just a stimulant that happens to be a pro-drug for an actual psychedelic?

No because LSD directly attaches itself to the brain, I just don't think that without the enzyme that LSD can pass the BBB rendering it ineffective.

Very interesting. It makes sense. Thank you for the info.
So I abstained from taking meds for 3 days and then tried again this morning.
I didn’t get the insane rush of power/energy like last time but also didn’t get any other effects other than slight energy boost, a headache and a bit of an “odd” feeling. No visuals or anything. So I’m guessing that the doses were either badly light affected or just not as advertised.
Thanks again everyone for your responses!

Try giving a tab to someone else and see what they think?

You probably have low dose tabs. Take 3 or 4. That headache might be from not drinking enough water.
