Shitty genetics or contaminated grain

I inoculated grain jars from agar wedges that I made. The agar was also my first attempt at creating an isolation. I probably transferred 4 times more than I actually had should have. Anyway, I inoculated the jars and the growth is strange. There is no smell, slime, or strange colors. The growth is fuzzy and does not seem to produce any rhizomorphic growth. It is also quite a slow grower. The myc covers the seeds but does not really join them together. It also does not like the Millet. The growth almost looks like pre-sporulated Trich, but that was consistent for 5 weeks. The color never changed.
Is this Cubensis mycellium? Are there obvious signs of contamination?
12 out of 12 turned out this way. I am just trying to determine whether this is shitty genetics or disease.
Thanks in advance.

I definitely agree with you on that. I also shook them a few times to see if they would recover. That made the jars look even more weird. I am guessing that your advice would be to start over.

I'd Throw them all away if they all look like that. Something is fucky. If you want, you can open one and smell it. If it smells clean (i really doubt it will) you could attempt to grow with them.

I'll give one a sniff and see how it goes.

Update - I opened one of the jars outside, and it smelled like mush. Regardless of the smell, the growth is definitely not healthy. I am going to dump them. Thanks for taking a look

I’d still try and run them but I try to spawn anything that fully colonized just to see what happens.
I’ve had growth kinda like that before that I’m pretty sure was from my grain prep being off.

Off how? I ain't never seen healthy myc look like that. I'm not against experimenting and learning but i wouldn't not spawn those. Well. I suppose i'd have to smell them. But i don't think so.

If they pin in the jars within the next week, I may try and spawn them. Otherwise they are going back into the earth.

If they pin in the jar, I'll give it a shot.
