Habitat: Ireland. Dublin mountains. About 300m above sea level
pasture with sheep. Grows in the grass that’s kept short by the sheep. Field is very wet in parts , including very shallow pond.
Gills: Dark brown.
Stem Brown , 2-3 mm thick. 7 - 12 mm long . Approx
Cap: Diameter 1 to 5 cm , dome shape , dark brown , with slight darker nipple on top
Spore print color: Dark brown to black
The pics were taken a day after I picked them. They were a lot darker when picked as there was rain the night before and grass was very damp.

Is it possible these are Panaeolus Olivaceus? Whats the worst could happen if I tried eating a few?
thanks for taking the time to read this .

Panaeolus acuminatus. Not psychoactive.
My advice is you don't waste your time trying to find P. olivaceus unless you have plenty of time and a microscope, since they are both difficult to identify to species as well as very weakly active, so you'll need large amounts of them.
Search instead for Psilocybe semilanceata, keep looking in same kind of habitat as you found these.

I think I see maybe a couple of Psilocybe semilanceata in there, but oh well.. A pile of mushrooms is a pile of mushrooms.

Looking close, I see them too. But yeah, it's up to OP to sort out the mess for us so we can help identifying.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ignore the pic of the pile . Really just interested in the example pics I’ve posted as most of them are like this.

Thanks Anglerfish. I’m not really searching for them. I had visited this field in my teens (many years ago) and we ate these same shrooms and got pretty high but people now tell me when they see these pics that most are inactive. I haven’t tried this current batch but was just curious if p. Olivaceus was a possibility. Maybe we were eating a mix of species back then before we knew any better.
