I have multiple daturas, D stanomium and wrightii under a full spectrum light. I came out of the bathroom and my parrot ate a full grown leaf from the wrightii.
He's only a pound at most in body weight.
I feel like all I can do is sit here and wait.

He was screening a fuck load and wasn't hungry. I don't know what that means but he didn't want anyone to be near him. To minimize my neighbors getting pissed off I put dance music on and he's been raving for the last 15-20 min. He got super tired (does certain movements) so I'm putting him to bed. Hopefully not ODing.

Thankfully the compounds are not concentrated in the leaves, and are found more in the roots and seeds and flowers. So hopefully he will be ok. Look up the effects and see if theres anything you can do to help him. Perhaps if you have anything to make him vomit?
Praying for your parrot!

No, thank god I hope no animals have too but you can look up scientific studies. But also remember animals react differently, so since the leaf as well has a lesser amount of compounds... he might be ok.

Sunday conoure. He's still alive and making noises, I'm pretty sure he would be having more severe affects by now. I anicdotally think he's fine.

He's awake, slept in hours past normal wake up and scream schedule. Super hostile.

He might still be hallucinating, a serious dose of deliriants in humans can last up to 3 days, and it's only been 24 hours or so. He might be seeing you as a total stranger.

In humans the antidote to scopolamine poisoning is physostigmine & hydration therapy (and sometimes activated charcoal / stomach pump - but since it’s been 24hrs already...and... It’s a bird....idk...).
How dilated are little birdies pupils? Also, does it seem dehydrated? Or having muscle fasciculations/tremors/etc?

Yeah, he's shaking a ton. Also you can't really tell how dialated a conoure eyes are. I'm gunna try making him drink loads of water. He's definitely super agitated.

I don't know yet. He hasn't woken up. He wanted to go to bed early and not leave his cage which is not at all normal behavior. I hope he doesn't go eating those plants anymore, I'm worried scapolamine would hurt his cardiovascular system more than anything. I have a nice circle of cacti but since birds don't have any receptors to amphetamines, I anicdotally think it wouldn't be as dangerous.

I don't know, I mentioned the type of datura because I know anything about them. Some have the alkaloids concentrations in different parts of the plant.

The bird ate a deliriant, not a psychedelic. Totally different category/type of drug with wildly different effects. Fly agaric is not a psychedelic either, nor is it a deliriant.

He's okay, just pretty hostile. I'm pretty sure this will have longer lasting psychological and social affects.
I was supper worried he would have cardiac depression that would lead to death but he seams okay now.

Poor little guy probably has a little trauma, might still be having direct effects from the plant too. With humans it can take a few days to a week to feel normal again. I wonder if he can connect the plant and what happened though, no doubt he's seen some scary and incomprehensible things.
