Is this tub toast

So today as I was harvesting fruits that took longer than the rest to mature I noticed small green like blotches pop up on both ends of my tub. Think I already know the answer is yes and think Ill have to toss the tub and harvest what I can beforehand. Anyway here are pics and thank you for your time:

Might that be stalk remnants from a previous harvest? They often look like that for a while with no problems. Maybe keep an eye on it. It doesn’t immediately say contam to me, but I’m no pro...

I also thought this may be the case. Im guessing if this is trich it will spread further through the net couple of days? If it worsens I suppose Ill rid of it outside away from my other grows. Thank you for your response

It’s hard to see in those pictures, is there a stump right there?
Trich shows up with bright white patches that look different than cube myc and then they turn green. There’s another common green mold I can’t remember the name but it’s a darker forest green and usually shows up in little patches.
Now I can see the pics better and it definitely looks like the forest green mold.
You can put little salt piles over top of the mold patches to keep them from spreading spores while the current flush matures.

No worries dude! I think there’s a set of people who get too preoccupied with possible contams when they first start. If you’re new, I’d recommend letting little patches of “maybes” be for a bit so that you learn to recognize what is and what isn’t contams. If it is, just clean the hell out of your tub after. The pros seem to think poor fae/moisture control is the primary cause of contamination after spawning and that mishandling this is a bigger threat than the “source,” as there will always be some level of bugs around and healthy mycelium has a respectable defense on its own. Best of luck!!

*that’s not trying to diss adding salt. Experiment and see what works in your hands and your house! If you’re trying to keep up the hobby for a while, you could even try salting one and leaving the other be. But I’m just a cat in a mushroom suit inside of a larger person suit, so...

That looks exactly like what’s causing me to scrap my current grow .It sucks but it’s a learning experience but at least you got some pins. Better luck next time.

Honestly one thing I’ve learned from all my experience is that I have grown healthy awesome cubes with every hue of strange color present in my tubs. Sometimes all at once 🤣
Sometimes your spawn is bacterial, which produces yellow metabolites, then the mycelium gets aggro and overlays, causing areas in the top to get dry and blue.
Then you have a flush with a purple sporeload:
One corner is blue, one is yellow, one is white, and one is purple/black 🤣
As long as it’s fruiting normal looking mushies I’m in it to the end 🤷♂️
I like the advice where people say to let it be and learn. 👍. You’ll definitely get more shrooms that way.
