some questions about yields/varieties

Currently averaging like ~90-110 grams dry per tub (2 flushes) of Mazys using unmodified tubs, coco/verm/rye.
my experience is limited, and these Mazys are where most of my time has been- with MS mycelium g2g. I'm yet to do any genetic work- saving that for when i have a room set up just for it- but in terms of getting some mushies grown right now im running this til i get the designated time and space to do proper work, try new things etc. Right now with my available time i can only grow with some MS.
i currently have a few varieties on the way in the mail (hopefully), but i don't have much time to experiment with varieties right now to find something that works best for me in terms of efficiency. i'm still doing my research to thoroughly understand the intricacies between varieties.
so my questions are:
1: what are your average yields on your tubs, dry (especially for the people running similar tubs)?? where do i stand with about 100 grams per tub dry on the spectrum?
2: any recommendations for a variety thats relatively forgiving and consistent i can try out and work on? These mazys are relentless growers in terms of mycelium colonization- i think, but again i have limited knowledge and frame of reference. I know variety isn't necessarily the deciding factor for fruit size and yields but as a beginner these mazys were great and were ready for harvest 20-25 days after the tub is set. Coming from a place of limited experience which way would you steer me? what should i get more familiar with now so i can have the knowledge and experience when my space is available?
My goals are to get working with a variety that is forgiving, colonizes/fruits relatively faster than other varieties, and has potential for nice big fruits so i can start doing genetic work
thanks!

I can’t say how much you have in your tub because ‘tub’?
I’d expect 20-30g per quart (myco-quart of clean rye spawn) first flush and 10-20 on the second. . .
I’m no expert with flash isolates. . . Just MS to agar to grain to fingers crossed. . .
Running 2:1 up to 4:1 with similar results. . .
Seen GT, alacabensi and mazatapec with very similar results. . . Most will say ‘A cube is a cube’ unless its a penis envy. . .

I have never heard of varieties having an effect on yield, unlike say weed. I could be wrong.

I thought that Mazatapec was a little too over active as far as myc production went.. at least when it came to fruiting the subs.. just really finicky. AA+ went really smoothly for me.. fast and grew big
Maz (Did a lot of mutant shit—maybe because of the over active myc production and I had a bit of trouble dialing them in)

AA+ (didn’t give me any problems comparatively—set it and forget it)

I can usually get close to 40g dry per 350g of spawn... somewhere out there is a post that details biological efficiency and how to calculate it... cant for the life of me find it right now...
Also, in my experience, Maz tended to be pretty small... fruits averaged 2-2.5" (5-8cm)... i had a pretty good clone of Blue Meanie that was easily my best performer... sometimes as high as 5oz off 3 quarts of spawn in a dialed mini mono.
Check my sig, id be happy to send ya a blue meanie or anything else on my list!

not sure if this is what you were referring to Roarkell:
Quote:
bodhisatta said: using just coir and oats I can calculate BE very easily as well
650g of coir in your grow and 220g of dry oats per quart say you use 5q of spawn to one brick 650g of coir for a a tub that's a dry weight of ingredients of 1750 grams. to calculate BE it's wet weight / dry weight of everything used so you will need 1750 wet grams or 350 grams wet per quart to achieve 100% BE my cubes dry up to be about 93% water usually 1750 wet gives me ~122.5 dry or ~24.5 dry per quart.
so anything over 24.5g dry per quart is over 100% BE for me. simply 1oz dry per quart is over 100%(~114%) and 2oz dry is over 200%(~228%)
but its something

thats it! I think my math was a little off... i keep track of everything right up til the end and then i get so excited to harvest/dry, i dont weigh em wet... lol

good point- i'm running the 54 qt. tubs, 6 Qt. spawn to coir/verm. One coco brick, some verm, and 6 quarts of spawn for each tub. ATM not doing much but misting when necessary. RH is low things seem to be drying out fast but its still doin okay.
thanks!
