Hello, I've been reading this forum for quite a while, and finally registered to ask for an advice (I haven't found similar issues anywhere).
The only similar post I've found is this one, but the images are unavailable and I'm not sure if OP had the same problem: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/12686780
So, I've done a bunch of classic PF Tek jars, consolidated for a week after full colonization (no pins appeared though) and put them into SGFC. I've been misting and fanning heavily, trying to keep moisture around 99% because the humidity was dropping very fast. After a while, some pins appeared from the bottoms of two cakes, but their caps are bloated and pale.
I wonder, what caused it? Too much humidity at the bottom of the cakes? I guess this is not a big deal, but the mushrooms don't look healthy
I've also realized that I should've cut the tinfoil to be circular and slightly larger than cakes themself, can this be the issue? Is it too late to fix the tinfoil? I'm kinda afraid to mess with cakes righ now
Here's some pics:

I would say its more of a mutant issue. Some strains grow mutants more often than others.
Also, u can trim back your foil a bit as it will help the perlite work better for the cakes.

You would have had a way better yield with a bulk grow. For an extra 10 mins and 5 bucks. Canopys

I've actually made an unBodified monotub with loose coir/verm substrate.
The spawn was 1 80% colonized PF jar & 3 sterile PF jars with rock wool instead of vermiculite (verm is sold out everywhere in my area, lol). The rock wool colonized like crazy!
The tub seem to be stalled after two weeks, though. I guess I messed up my sub (there was a lot of excess water after pasteurization, so I was squeezing it until field capacity and then putting in the tub).

Chaos, my main concern is damaging the cakes or pins while trimming the foil... But I guess I can try to trim it without lifting the cakes!
Btw, for the sake of experiment I've put one unrolled cake in a little dub tub FC, and it has a gorgeous pin without mutations. I've just noticed that 4 of the 5 cakes in my SGFC have bloated pin caps, so it's probably because of the wrong conditions in FC.

Just handle your cakes gently, they will be fine. Look out for any pins that might be growing on the top. U have to handle them eventually when you harvest them and dunk the cakes.

Unfortunately, all the SGFC pins have stopped growing, so I had to harvest them The cakes felt very dry, so I guess this is the humidity problem. Also, all the pins appear to be mutated.

I've did the second dunk & roll, stuffed half of the SGFC holes with the tight polyfill and added more perlite.
The "big" pin stopped growing as well and its cap has started shrinking, so I've decided to harvest it too... I've been hoping to get a spore print from it :<

Can anyone please confirm that this is a humidity problem? Or maybe it's some hidden contam that the cakes are trying to fight?

Looks like a fruiting conditions problem. Sgfc never ever should have polyfil in it or it wont work
