Fully colonized monotub not fruiting?

So its been about 21 days since I applied a casing layer and put my GT monotub into fruiting conditions, but I still haven't seen any nice healthy pins. The tub sits in my room with a ceiling fan on high, so I figure FAE should be alright. I make sure to mist the sides of the monotub once every day or two when much of the water seems to have evaporated, so I think the humidity should be fine. I've got a 5000k bulb going on a 12/12 cycle, so light shouldn't be an issue. There appears to be some green and pink areas on the surface of the mush, but they didn't appear until after the tub seemed fully colonized. I also made sure to pasteurize my substrate instead of sterilizing it, so I really don't think its a contam issue.

I was doing agar work on this strain before I started the tub and I'm concerned that I may have cultivated a fast colonizing strain that takes forever to fruit :uhoh: I'm doing my best to stay patient and let the mush do its thing, but my last two tubs got contamed so I'm a little worried about this one. If anyone can offer some help on what the problem might be, it would be much appreciated!!

I thought once tubs were fully colonized they are pretty contam resistant! None of the mold appeared until at least a weak after the mush was solid.

This is what healthy cube mycelium should look like in a monotub.

Yes, but those are not fully colonized.

looks bacterial af too. With proper field capacity, you shouldn't need to mist on the first flush unless you have really abysmal surface conditions, but even then you wouldn't need to until the sub is fully colonized and the mycelium isn't holding beads of water on the surface. Maybe turn the ceiling fan to low instead if that's drying out your subs.

Next time easy on the misting and make sure your spawn is good, best of luck.

It's probably fine. Even if it's not fine, it'll eventually be fine. So it's fine.
