Getting wife off anti-depressants while microdosing

Quick question.
My wife is on anti-depressant and has been for sometime now. I started growing and making microdose pills .2-.3 in size for her. she takes them every 2-3 days. My question is for those with experience with this all though I appreciate any help.
Once we start to try and taper her off her anti-depressant, should she increase the frequency of the microdose or just keep it as is? We are planning on doing a good size trip for her but Im scared it might not work due to the anti-depressant she takes.
And for those who have tripped while on anti-depressant's how much did you have to take to get trip going? you can message me if your not comfortable leaving in comments.
Thanks everyone!

Personally, I am on antdepressants (Effexor) and microdose the Stamets stack of .2g of mushrooms, Lions Mane, and Niacin. I am slowly tapering off of my medication at a very slow pace. Theres a great site called Surviving Antidepressants. If you just Google that, it will come up. It teaches you that you should really taper of SSRI's at a slow pace (by 10% every 4 weeks). I do this by making a solution with my Effexor and distilled water.
Personally, I don't think she will feel the need to increase the dose after getting off of antdepressants because she will get more effects once she is off them.
As for tripping on SSRI's, I would wait until she is almost off of the meds otherwise it's pretty much a waste of mushrooms. I can speak from experience that SSRI's will blunt the psychoactive effects...at least mostly. Strangely enough though, I have been able to trip on 150mg of Effexor. Idk why it works on Effexor, because when I tried tripping on Sertraline and Cymbalta, both drugs completely blunted the effects. But for some reason Effexor only LESSENS the effects, but I'm still able to trip, it's just not as intense.

I am new here and somewhat new to micro dosing. I have been diagnosed bipolar, with bipolar depression. My daughter the same. We have both had very different reactions to Micro dosing. She began having miserable auditory hallucinations with rage, and ended up in the hospital at .3 grams. I have had a much different experience. We lost close to 100 animals in Oregon during the fires, much of them rescued farm animals. It has been a very difficult year for me and I could not get over the grief. The first night I took mushrooms about a gram I had beautiful dreams about the animals and I’ve not had the pain I was experiencing . They help with my spinal stenosis pain, leave me less depressed, absolutely no negative hallucinations of any sort. In fact I’ve taken over a gram and just get pleasantly sleepy, Not that ugly drugged sleepiness. I think your wife is going to be the one who will know what she can and can’t do. It should be in her power. I am on Mirtazapin, gabapentin, and meloxicam and small dose of Ritalin. Is there a reason your wife wants to go off her medications? Is it her desire or yours? Is her psychiatrist on board? Mine is very open minded, but I have no desire to go off medication. The psychiatrist has strongly warned my daughter and she actually had to put her on a strong anti psychotic after the mushroom experience. Mushrooms seem to have accentuated a a chemical imbalance that was already there that I appear not to have. I’m doing great at .5 grams every other night. Can’t take them during the day since they make me sleepy. I just don’t know if anyone can tell people what will work for them. I have never taken enough to actually trip. At 1.5 I just got sleepy. My daughter starts Hallucinating at .3 grams. I think everyone is different. The only reason I am adding my daughter to this is we are almost the same when our doctor did our gene testing for medications. So it is interesting, personality may have something to do with it. I’m an artist who loves that beautiful place between awake and sleep in the world and have few expectations. My daughter is OCD and needs control. It will depend on what you are trying to get your wife off of also. Some medications are easy some are horrible and even lowering the dose can be problematic. I thought I was dying while trying to go off of Effexor. Wellbutrin was a cake walk. Seroquel gave me brain zaps for about 2 weeks. Maybe try weening off meds first? It might be hard to figure out what’s withdrawal and what’s mushrooms. I’d really consult an open minded doctor.

Over the last 25 years or so I tripped with mushrooms while medicated with:
- 2 different tricyclics
- Citalopram
- Sertraline
- Venlafaxine
- Venlafaxine and Mirtazapine combo
- Mirtazapine only
- and another SSRI years ago that I can't recall the name of.
I also dropped plenty acid when I was on tricyclics but not since.
The tricyclics I was put on in the 90s were absolutely horrible as medication but I think they may have actually enhanced my trips, something I would not say about the modern antidepressants. That said, I had no issues in getting tripping in any of these situations although the intensity of trips varied. But, then again, so did the meds, the dosage of the meds at any given time, sometimes the dosage of mushrooms and no doubt their potency at times too. A lot of possible confounders but the main thing I am trying to put across is that, personally, I managed to trip every time.
Like I said, some of these go back very many years but I think I am confident in thinking that in the main I usually did 3~3.5g of dry weight Ps semilanceata. For cubes I would dial that up by maybe 50%.
HOWEVER, I would start her lower for her first trip. Some people differ in their responsiveness to psychedelics anyway and there is no guarantee how much of a dampener her med at the given dose may be - maybe a noticeable bit, maybe not much at all. So I would start gentle and easy, and you can ALWAYS go up next time.
