Second flush of blue oyster
    #27009997 - 10/29/20 09:56 AM (3 years, 3 months ago)

Definitely should've dunked this block to get a bit more volume on these guys, but do you think they need more FAE, or is this just more typical of what to expect from an indoor blue oyster grow?

Chronological pics, 1 day apart, except for the last two which are right now:

They really need more air.

You can get wayyyy better fruits even indoors. That tote looks like a suffocation chamber. I grow in a tote as well but I have a fan pumping in fresh air every 5mins. They dont just look deprived of air though, what did you use for your substrate cause they look malnourished as well. My second flushes always get a bit more spindly but not this bad. That tote needs some serious FAE and Gas Exchange holes, should also cut a hole in the top and rig up a PC fan with a simple timer. Not as good as a tent obviously but I know the struggle of not having enough room and being forced to fruit in totes.

This is what a typical (not ideal) flush should look like from a tote chamber.

It was a kit grow. My first flush looked a lot better, I think they were hurting for water. I’m thinking of going with a 5 gallon bucket for my next grow. I took some tissue clones from my first flush. Not sure how to balance trapping in humidity and keeping fresh air exchange going for the bucket though.

First flush:

Current state of my clones:

My plan was to go with rye berry for spawning, and I found some decently priced alder chips at a local pet supply store for hamster bedding which I thought would make a good substrate.

Any and all advice is appreciated. Rigging up a PC fan is a great idea.
