What are these bruised blue spots near my FAE holes?

First time in a tub this size (60qt). Two of the air holes on the sides have spots which show blue bruising even though this hasn't fruited fully yet.

You got a fan or something near those? I wonder if any air getting through could bruise them. Looks like just oxidation to me, if it is, nothing to worry about. Maybe you just bumped the tub against the substrate. If it doesn't spread then don't worry about it.

No it's on a shelf away from a fan and this was actually on the wall side of the box. Didn't think contam but it's weird how the fruit isn't forming near the vents.

Could either be the substrate is too dry and bruising is occuring due to dehydration, or the mycelium is bruising because it is fighting contaminants.
I would take a qtip and swab those areas to see if if's bruising (no color on qtip) or mold spores (color smudges onto qtip - strong indicator of contamination) and then keep an eye on the area to see if any infections develop or toss the substrate accordingly.
Edit: Also - if there is bluing on the substrate near the base of the mushrooms, and the base of the mushrooms themselves are not blue, that can be another potential sign of contamination.

It’s just dry there.. is that ez felt? Filter looks pretty see-through. Probably why... try two layers of micropore instead
Could also be a combination of drying out and contamination
