Maybe a litle too wet. Pooling water often lead to yellow mycopiss sorta stuff like you've got.
From what I've read tampanensis needs a casing layer. That looks like it's fully colonized the substrate and is ready for casing. With paneolus cyanescens I had good luck with a simple 50/50 peat/verm casing spread maybe 1/4" thick, as even and level as possible. Mix and hydrate, load into jars and PC and then spread it on your sub.
Good luck, I'm curious to see how it turns out. I've not fruited tampanensis yet but I have a 6 month old bag full of stones that I've been holding off harvesting until I'm ready to try fruiting the leftover grain.

This is my first grow ever, I have read mixed things on using casing. Some people don’t. Some do.. when would you say it’s “too late” what are some other ways I could get it to pin? It’s in a closet now with 0 light(could That be my issue?). I’ve been misting/ fanning 2 times a day for the past few days to keep the hum up and haven’t seen much of a change..also have small holes drilled every 1.5 inches about 3/4 inch from the top of sub all the way around the shoebox, covered with micro pore tape, and the lid is still on.. very anxious, the larger patches seem to be getting bigger, are those “knots”? I still don’t see any pins yet

Just want to help but not a expert at all. The yellow spots dont look right. I have had 2 tiny tiny light yellowed droplets on one of my casings one time but it dessapeard because i cant see it no more. But your droplets is mush bigger and more yellow.
I would not mist that casing more as you can see many droplets beautifully sitting there already A little mush maybe but i have hade cakes look like that with no issues in the end.

No light at all? You are getting mush better results wiht lightning. Just put a battery driven small spotligt on it. Make sure its cold white lights with right kelvin.

Got it, I have a brute trash can setup for growing buds, I just cleaned everything up, hooked my exhaust fan up, and threw my 250 watt on a 12/12 schedule. I will update! How long until I should start seeing pins, and how long until I should throw it?(if I don’t see any)

Well you said you are growing ps galindoi which is related to ps mexicana and tampanensis and is a sclerotia forming species. The threads I could find all call for casing. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22119638/fpart/1/vc/1 https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26044533
The first thread indicates that they fruit similar to paneolus species. There are hundreds of posts in the paneolus megathread and what you have looks like overlay which is not a good sign.
A 250w light is excessive. a compact flourescent would be fine and put out less heat, resulting in less drying and humidity loss. They need a bit of light, high humidity(95%+) and good fresh air exchange. Balancing air exchange and humidity is pretty tricky.
Why start with galindoi? And why fruit them when they are mostly known for sclerotia? Cubes are a lot easier for a beginner and are more tolerant of a sub optimal fruiting environment. The yield will be a lot better than you are likely to get from even a wildly successul ps galindoi grow.
Seems like a weird way to get started but good luck.

I tried Sclerotia with this, had it in a jar for 3 months, harvested to only a few gs of stones... so I decided to fruit it cus I read it could be done. I’ve tried other strains. Never in a shoebox to sub. Always just threw cakes in sgfc(or hell, even outside in my yard and had better results).. light was on 12/off 12. Woke up today to this.-cracking/shrinking of my substrate and it looks like something is starting to push through in a few of the thicker myc spots.. will check again when I get home cus I’m out and about now. I do not have a casing layer on this.
