They ARE weird. I have heard lots of good things.... How hard were they to grow - specifically, are they beginner-level?

I'm only running one LPEU culture, the rest are APEU... the pinning subs are mostly WG... days work is in: now the grand tour!
APEU cultures F2L & F3L: 2nd and 3rd filial generation of APEU, both are OG MS cultures and on T23 &T19 respectively:
One of 2 75X's (lift one of these 40" with 80lbs of oats in it) quart jar for size reference:
Second cooker unloaded, cultures as followed from right to left, top to bottom:
MWG2: monster whyte gold #2, prospective clone
F3L: filial generation 3 MS APEU from outside source
F3MS APC: an agar pin clone (APC) from filial generation 3 MS APEU sourced in house from filial generation 2 LPEU clone
2nd row are all Texas; yellow, orange, and white capped
EQ: Ecuador
NF: "nightmare fuel": a Burma's chief isolate that looks like KSSS
Z: Z strain
Actives in the works:
General prep area:
Gourmet room, next week's blue oyster, the following week's shiitake, and some wild oyster clone 2nd flushing bc I'm lazy lol

All of my prints/syringes are gone and I thought all of my cultures were lost to ice.
I managed to save my melmak, RW, APE, TOC clones, and ps cyanescens. Things are looking up.
Lost my PE, B+, and Pesa. You will be missed PE : (

Lol there’s a perfect diamond of jam packed fruits. It’s weird how that happens sometimes and you get super crazy clusters in one part and nothing right next to it.
Idk how much is genetics or hidden contam and how much is airflow issues but it’s strange.

PE spelt jars are taking off (used about 8ml of glc per). probably shake em tomorrow or Friday

The GLC grains that made the spelt quarts will probably be jiffy cased around the same time

PEA+ project is all in fruiting conditions.. made a 3 cake FC and gonna keep one for invitro

Mini mono is looking good

GLC grains for the mini mono quarts starting to knot.. at least on the sides

Hopefully I’ll get at least one cross from these subs.. lol I’m feeling good about it

I’m excited to see what the pea+ grows.
Do you poke a few holes in those bags? That looks like a nice easy system for fruiting smaller containers.

Yeah.. I poke a syringe needle through the flat bag about every 2-3 inches.. start with less holes and just watch it for the first couple days and poke more holes if needed.. after they start pinning, I’ll probably poke a bunch of holes at cake level. I try to reuse the bag when possible and just tape up excess holes that I can remove when needed.
Pretty simple to set up.. just throw some wet perlite in a zip and poke holes in it
