dunk again to encourage fruiting? 1

Hey guys! I'm a relatively new grower (on third grow).. These seem to have robust hyphae knots but no fruit - birthed 13 days ago. Should I dunk them to encourage them? These are (supposedly) SSKS, but the whiteness seems to be a different strain than I'm used to seeing. Thanks in advance!

I see a few hyphal knots, but the larger wads are 'blobs'. Increase fresh air exchange and provide bright light for several hours daily. RR

I see lots of fruits on those cakes they're just severely deformed due to some infection, looks a bit a like Mycogone but not quite.

Thanks everyone--I have holes drilled into the chamber, fan several times daily, and even have a little marine air pump hosing air in (with hepa filter). But I'll keep working at it. These cakes were also very slow to colonize in the jars; wonder if the spores are of poor quality. Of course that sounds pretty arrogant for a third-time grower! I'll work on more FAE and light. Learning every day.

thanks for the FAE tip! Unless some administrator removed it I don't see a vendor name in my post- new to this site, so I'm learning the rules. Thanks again!

Thanks RR! I decided not to dunk, but will focus on FAE a little more. Also making sure the moisture level is good. I read about bottom watering, which was new to me- seems like it could be an alternative to dunking to rehydrate cakes if needed?

I hope not, that's for sure. I have gotten close enough with a magnifying glass to look at the surface of the 'blobs', and don't see any signs of that wet bubble look. The tips are a bit dark-ish but dry and unblemished....will keep a close eye out- what do I have to lose at this point, I guess? I really hope they take off, and that perhaps the cooler weather has slowed them down a bit..

IME fruiting chambers + electric components always spell trouble. What do you suppose will happen if you don't push air in the tub using an air pump? And what would be the point of the air from the pump being filtered when you have a bunch of holes in your tub that let in unfiltered air? I think it's best you stick to following proven to work methods and try to resist adding anything to the Tek's you have a FC with a bunch of holes in it, you're fanning the tub and you're pushing air in with an air pump. My FC's don't have any holes, I don't fan the tub, I don't push air in, I spray a few times a week and my cakes produce full healthy flushes every time! Gl
