Maybe you just reached the conclusion and the rust got shook off. Darn. I was enjoying this!

Well I’ll keep trucking this thing along a bit longer. Just pulled another clone tub, this one was C3. Took some last night and the rest today.

I’m feeling pretty good about these yields considering 4 quarts of spawn. I think there might be a little room for improvement but it’s definitely feeling worth my while now.

Yo pastyman what is your spawn composed of? I used grains and manure for pans and failed twice! Someone on here says to use millet and use around 10% of that to spawn onto manure. What are your thoughts mang? I want the world chico.
They're saying too many nutes cause pans not to fruit?

There is an entire thread dedicated to pans, if you'll to a quick search you should find it. Your inquiry is a bit off topic here.

Instead of sifting through 700 pages of posts I'm asking the legend Pasty how to shake off more rust. He speaks from the heart.

Currently I’m using WBS however that’s not really important. I use rye, wheat and millet as well. WBS is simply convenient right now. I would advise anyone looking to grow like I do to worry more about producing axenic, properly hydrated grain spawn and inoculating it with a vigorous culture. I currently using my EzLC method to expand.

I been using wheat but might grab a bag of millet to try out depending on price. My wheat is $18 for a 50lb bag
Edit: just called $22 for white millet $26 for red... hmmm. Maybe I’ll grab a bag when I’m outta wheat

I just failed twice using grain at a 1:2 ratio everything looks amazing for 2 weeks and not one pin! The surface has water beads and everything. The humidity is in the single digits here so I'll try pastys new and improved mono, or buckle down and get a marha. I will see pans one day friends!

A quick thing of interest. I had received some rather wild Pan cyans from Maui that were maybe F1 or 2. Started some and performed unspeakable experiments on them. Some of those are starting to bear fruit...this first tray is a travesty. It’s just sitting in a monotub with a few APE bottles. Conditions are terribly dry. It was definitely dropped at one point. But it’s still pushing some pins out.
I have more hope for this second tray. It’s in a better chamber, wasn’t dropped, seems in a better position. Just spotted a tiny pin in it as well. Hopefully more are coming.

We nerds love some unspeakable experiments, lay it on us.
If that chamber works for you I may bust out some pan prints I have and do something similar.

I’ve been curious on spawning single quart jars just to get a fruit to agar. Then do a bulk run once my culture is clean. Looks like a ez tub, would you suggest perlite at the bottom? Also do you just throw a coir casing style later over the 100% colonized jars? Or do you mix it all up like a eztub?

Then first tub is an Ezdial and it’s doing alright. The second chamber is a different design which I’m not really looking to talk about right now.

Some of the experiments ended up suffering a noobs fate. I do want to go back to the spores and find a more vigorous culture. I did end up shaking the spawn at least twice. But I’m pleased that conditions in the good chamber are looking decent. Got lots of tiny pins moving in now. Pics later. Really hope I can snag a print off these.

Here are a few pics of the pan tray that’s been properly cared for. It’s firing up pins all over, I’m super stoked. Some of the knots and primordia are so tiny it’s crazy.

I’m super stoked for these, I can’t wait to see how they turn out

You running a hydroponics system to increase humidity or do the balls have better retention than perlite?
