most people say amanitas have a symbiotic relationship with trees i think it's more of a symbiosis with the tree than with the material of the tree (ie pine needles, etc.) i doubt you'll have success but i guess it's fun to experiment

you'd be the world's first to succeed with indoor fly agarics - if you like those odds, good luck.
i never heard of anyone saying they weren't hallucinogenic without they were guessing - i'm gonna read your ratings to check out the numbskulls.

also... if you succeed in doing this amanita farming, PM we have a lot to discuss : )
i dont know to much about the aman fruiting process but ill see what i can find for you... good luck friend.

not only the symbiosis. but it would take a year or 2 to grow enough myclium to fruit.

well i know that the aman prefers an acidic soil (pretty vague i know, but ill help all i can) what you might want to do is plant a birch tree with it (perhaps an indoor birtch tree with a huge pot? then transfer the mycelium to there) but they can also be found close to heather plants/trees.
i do believe youll need quite awhile to build that mycelium up for sure, perhaps "theman" is correct in 1 year or 2. probably expect at least 1!
to fruit it follow the same guidlines as you would a cub at first to see if it works, then experiment from there. (ie cold shock then i higher temp...) however they do tend to live in colder climes.
if you live near where some fruit naturally, go out and find the mycelial networks and moniter when its starts fruiting (temp humidity also what state its parent tree is in). use this as a guidline to try the fruiting!
you may want to try fruiting it earlier (perhaps a go at 6 months) to see what happens...
damn man, good luck and patience!

I hope the mycelium that is growing in there is from the spores, hopefully you pasteurized or sterilized this. You never know what that mycelium may be. Symbiosis was noted already, obviously that is a concern. I think if you really, really want to do this you should harvest mycelium from the wild (and propagate it), or clone a specimen. Then find whatever tree types are growing directly near it and grow a sapling(s). Inoculate the roots (liquid culture) and grow it in soil of similar Ph, mineral content, etc. Then match fruiting conditions. Who knows how big the mycelial network needs to be, it could be huge. That could take many years, and much space. Then you must match fruiting conditions, but I don't believe that would be nearly as difficult as the former...
I did hear a rumor that it was done once in a lab (over in Russia or somewhere), but if it was done, there probably would have been some literature on it...
Good luck, I hope your the first and you share the Tek!

Hi I cloned some amanita in honeywater, which is cloudy for the moment. Outside my house there are growing some "betula" dont know the name in english but think it might be birch and i kno amanitas grow in symbiosis with them. Know what should I do to get the symbiosis started, just pour my honeywater on them, or open up the soil a bit and pour it on the roots ????? any help would be very welcome
