Stumped on lighting for my new grow rooms.

I'm moving mainly to fruiting from bags so will be setting up racking. Want room for stacked monotubs too. Pain in the dick of it all is that the ceiling is lathe and plaster so hard to find joists and just sketchy all around cracking old plaster.

LED strip lights any good? Feel like doing that or just hanging some 270 degree LED globes from command hooks in the ceiling using lamp parts. The room gets AMAZING sun but as winter sets in that's going to be scarce and I'd really like to cover the window anyway from prying eyes.

To track the timeline from spawn to fruiting, I just assigned a random ID number to each, and then kept it along the way. I didn't keep track of agar plates that much, tbh, but I'd keep track of master and expansion and bag in a binder/spreadseet.

For plates, I'd just do the basics like you. Here's my Grain Tag and Tub Tag. I have one for Bags, too.

I abandoned the tub tags, though, and just wrote the ID on the tub and recorded the stuff on the tag once in the spreadsheet.

Yup that's exactly what I saw in an old post a while ago, thanks for sharing it!

Also, question for the experienced culters out there, this is pseudomonas right? Vert as well possibly?

Seeing these wrinkled/white caps, brown spots, and generally fugly fruits among some normal ones in 2 shoeboxes. I harvested all the effected shrooms and a lot of the pins that looked either like they were aborting/infected, I also upped the FAE and put them where they get a little more sunlight, is that the right move?

TIA yall, appreciate it.

I turn my back for one second.

Go to check the 4 monotubs in quarantine and sure enough there is a handful of dead gnats stuck to the moisture on the side. Adults and I'm sure they ate their fill and laid their eggs. With any luck that BTI kills the larvae if not and more of the fuckers emerge I'm shutting things down for two weeks like Pasty said.

They truly are a plague. At this point I feel like making a sacrificial monotub trap cased with DE and soaked in BTI. I must have something somewhere here I am missing that they are coming from.

Run hot water thru all your drains for a couple minutes to clear your j bends. They like to breed down there too.

Definitely looks like some sort of bacteria Lenz.

I rarely use lights but I started with strip leds and eventually ended up buying this 8 pack of 4’ led tubes that you can link together indefinitely that are awesome. I think they were only like 40-50 dollars too.

Yeah that ain't a bad idea. I'm using unmodded tubs, so there isn't much "dialing" I could do with those. Suppose it might be easier to dial in the air flow of the room and placement of my shelves/tubs.

I had nothing but condition troubles from unmodded tubs. Make a true monotub, it will help

Unmodded worked great at my old place. Hardly an issue until I moved. New house, new problems, I guess.

Yarp started with that then moved to good ol' Drano with the plug in for a few hours. I'm gonna wait them out for two weeks with no hospitable environment in which to breed like Pasty did. If I still see them after two weeks.. well I dunno. Maybe I lost a shoebox somewhere and can't find it and that's their home.

Either way, 2 weeks after these monotubs do their thing. Then I'm breaking out the ozone generator and putting the woman and I up at a hotel for the night while it runs.

Sorry to keep rambling about gnats, my failure rate is really getting to me here. Going from wet pounds in the triple digits to being the King Midas of contaminations feels like shitake.

This might sound like a stupid question.
Does letting a LC sit out, unstirred for extended periods like say oh I dunno a month weaken it or affect it badly?

I don’t think so as long as it’s not really hot.

I used one that had been sitting on my table for over three months and it was fine.

Hi guys! I tried the magics once and it really helped with my depression  issues.  I want to grow but I work over 60 hours a week and there is so much info it could take years to go Through!

Is there anyone out there that has made many successful batches that can tell me the easiest way to grow with the highest yields and least amount of effort? Pretty please?!  Step by step if possible by videos or links

I really don't want to take big pharma meds but I want to make them myself rather than getting them from off the street so I know what I'm getting.

From what I have gathered so far the spore Syrin seems like the best way to go and I'm guessing a box fan hepa filter could lower contaminates?  I have a room I don't use that I could dedicate to this!

big thanks to anyone kind enough with experience and wisdom to help.

That’s a heck of a first post. Sad truth is everyone wants the most mushrooms for the least effort. Unfortunately it rarely works out like that. If you want to grow pounds it’s gonna take a lot of time and work.

I don't need a huge amount.  It's just the info out there is overwhelming.  Has anyone compiled the steps in video or link step by step from start to finish?

It's 2020 someone has to have made it by now.
