Help with mushroom identification!
    #27006355 - 10/27/20 01:20 PM (3 years, 3 months ago)

This is my first post here, so I hope that I'm doing it right. I need help identifying these mushrooms.

I found these growing out of the sand at the beach in Washington, presumably off of the roots of dune grass. My assumption is that they are dune brittlestems, but I thought maybe they are azurescens.

I took samples from two spots: the first mushrooms were smaller than the second.

The spore print looks very dark brown or black.
I did not notice any bruising or distinct odor.

Cool, thanks! My best guess is Psathyrella ammophila, since it was growing around marram grass.

I think you could be right. It’s definitely a Psathyrella Sp.

Also welcome to the Shroomery.
