All, I want to double check to be sure, found at SW Portland today:
1. Gray cap, yellow pores, yellow velvet like color on the steam. Xerocomellus zelleri perhaps?

2. Still waiting for spores, I wonder if I can eat this or if curiosity will kill the cat? White gills with what appears to be a light yellow underneath, purple-like cap and no change in color when cut in half or bruised so far. Found close by birch trees.(Possibily Russula sp.):

3. Small guys, yellow pore, brown top, one of the steams has some goo out, I already cut if off lol. What exactly are this?

4. I pulled the top section to see what it looked like, I grabbed two of the same type on the soil. Some sort of puffball. Need help with ID.

Appreciatively,

Take a good sniff on #2, under the caps. Does it clearly smell fishy/crab-like? I'm guessing it snapped like chalk and the gills are brittle? Take a very small piece of stem and do a taste test, is it spicy? hot? acrid? or mild tasting? Spit it after and wash your mouth. Spore print ochre?
I've been finding lots of Russula xerampelina that look like that in the PNW. Most have a pinkish blush on the stem. I cooked a few and they were extremely boring.

3 looks like a Suillus species and 4 looks like a Boletus species. I'm no expert though.

I couldn't identify any smell (because of a concussion I have difficulty distinguish smell/taste at most times). Indeed it snapped like a dry chalk, I can't confidently say the gills are brittle because the mushroom has air dried at this point. I put a bit on my tongue (almost accidentally swallowed it lol) I believe it tastes light-medium spicy. no other distinct taste detected. I wasn't able to collect a spore print although I left the cap on a white paper for a couple days.
Mind I ask you how did you prep them? I'm afraid I found perhaps a i]Primrose Brittlegill or another inedible type. Thank you for your reply.
