Why's this so slow??

I made some pf Tek jars (idk why really) and instead of fruiting I decided to crush them up in a bag and spoon them into some quart wheat berry jars. But it seems to be taking at least twice as long to colonize, and the ones that are close are stuck on like 80% for a week, is it more likely just genetics, or is there some kind of issue with crushing up the mycelium like that? The mycelium looks extra fuzzy around the brown rice areas, then gets thicker and more rhizomorphic where it meets the wheat, but as far I can tell there is no contamination either. They all look exactly the same when it comes to growth patterns and color etc. I even opened one up and it smelled like it should.

Itβs not from the myc being damaged, most likely contam or grain prep.
Got pictures?

Bottom two are done, figured I'd show anyway. My grain moisture content was spot on, that's just condensation from temp fluctuation inside. And if you notice any slightly off dull color in the finished ones, that is just the ground up PF cake with verm in there, it looked like that the second it was mixed with the grain. But I don't see anything off, the unfinished ones are just taking so long compared to if it were something like a bird seen transfer.
But just for the hell of it I also crushed the other 2 cakes and mixed with pasteurized coir at a 1:3 ratio and it's been about 10 days and there's not much change. Also no funky smell or off coloring or anything. They're only just starting to kind of take root and spread out a bit.

Yep. Looks like I forgot to do that with the ones in the first pic though. But even then it took a while to recover and actually take over. I'm just wondering if there's nothing wrong, if it would take a while to even fruit too. Because I really don't see anything wrong with these otherwise. Couple of them started fruiting before it was even done colonizing.

normally if jars try to fruit before completely colonizing the grains there is unseen contam in my humble experience

Interesting. Couldnt see or smell anything so I assumed that wasn't the case. Any contams that are known to be subtle but not detrimental enough to keep from colonizing/fruiting?

bacterial contamination can be hard to see for sure
I have spawned a bacterial jar or two for sure unknowingly (until later)
dunno how it would smell, would depend on the specific organism and how much of it is in the jar I guess
it's definitely not normal for a jar of grain to stop colonizing and fruit unless something is off, is about all I can say really eh
sorry I can't give you some hard science or whatever

Really? Almost none of them burst when I was simmering, and none of them would stick to my hand after steam drying before I put them in.
