Ok I folded and ordered a 4 tier tent and the same humidifier that they use for jartha.... Now I need to source a drip pan. And figure out a good timer for the humidifier. Any suggestions? I know it takes some personal dialing in. Any tips would definitely be appreciated. I just don't understand how these things work other then how to build them though teks.how do you know your not running the bathroom fan to long or the humidifier to long? There has to be a easy way to gauge these things. Or do I have to look at substrate condition?

If you’re looking to get a stable rh in a tent , inkbirds are foolproof.

Gonna have to look those up. Do they control just the humidifier? Or the fan and everything?

It has 2 plugs on it so could run both but they would come on simultaneously. I run a wick humidifier with it that operates with a fan so is kind does both that way.

That’s going to read the humidity inside the tent and distribute fog accordingly to hold a desired RH I don’t use them because I cycle my humidity however there are others that do use them

Hmmmm so plug the bathroom fan and the humidifier in it.? I already ordered the one in the jartha.... Idk if I fucked that up but I figured I'd use his tek since it's the only one I can find with a link to the parts list. Btw do you set that inkbird in the center or the top? I ordered the wifi one so I can get text of it goes funky.

If you go the controller route, be sure to calibrate the sensor. I just used this
method over the last day and it works really well. Worth a watch if you are using
these.

It has a probe on a long lead that can be placed anywhere in the tent. I just hang mine from the top as my humidifier is on the floor of the tent.

Wait your the guy I'm following the tek from. Wow so many questions. So I hook up the inkbird to the black humidifier thing. Run the flex hose to the top of the tent. Then cut the hepa filter to the top of the tent And then cut the bathroom fan into the bottom? The bathroom fan plug into the cycle timer? While the inkbird controls the humidifier?

That two pack is exactly what I bought. They work great. Little tough to figure out so definitely save the instructions somewhere safe.
I have one for the fogger and one for a heater/fan if I need it. I don’t worry about humidity I just tinkered with them until the casing was getting soaked and then dried out until it was just damp, then the fog kicks on and soaks it again.

Yeah I'm pritty good at read direction's plus youtube has my back! So the question before ... Do I wire my bathroom fan to the cycle timer and the ink bird to the humidifier? Adjust it as I go? I really want this tent to work. Been a tub fan for years but I'm ready for the leap of faith.

I don’t use a ink bird because the RH in my tent varies between cycles so I just Synchronize the two cycle repeat timers (1 on fog 1 on fan) to alternate then adjust my times based on surface conditions until it’s dialed in where I like it. However I’m sure you could find a way to dial it in using the ink bird so long as you’re generating as much evaporation as possible and you are rehydrating your substrate and not allowing it to dry out

If the inkbird humidistat is anything like the temperature controller then the 2 outlets operate something different. 1 outlet for the fog and 1 for the fan. The temperature controller I have has an extension cord plugged into the heat that controls my grow light and heating pad, and the cooling option turns on the exhaust fan.
I'd imagine it's the same for the humidifier thing. Just plug it in and try it out. Stick the probe into water or a steamy shower or something to see what happens.

No it’s fine and like I said you could still probably dial it to work I would imagine but I just don’t have I’m in my tek because I’m not looking to maintain a specific RH. But that’s not to say they can’t be used to grow pans

See that's why I'm trying to figure this out I do like the rh controller. I already ordered the cycle timer so I guess just have the exhaust cycling and the RH control will pick up the slack my grow room already stays 74-79° so I'm good there I guess this is one of those make a bunch of LC and test trays and see what happens. Btw joc where did you get your drip pan? Is it a square water heater pan? Can't seem to find one at my home depot.
