greenish grey cups Albino A+

Hello Please help. I'm a first time grower, doing my best, but to be sure, need some really professional assistance, which is not that easy to find. Here are the baby Albino A+ shrooms from my box. I'm so happy they showed up and keep growing, but the cups of couple of them appear to be greenish grey, which makes me wonder. Please be kind to help me out to determine if it"s a problem.

they are okay. but you need to let them breathe more. (notice the mycelium crawling up the mushrooms?) try adding a thin casing layer, it will help with side pins (this helps me everytime i do AA+)

Yea they look like late aborts. So more air is probably a good conclusion.

Oo okay.. Will fix this for sure. Also, so many grow from the sides and they have no room, + the humidity is always way higher in those cracks.. so I've decided to get the cake out of the inner box and placed it on a foil straight on top of the clay pebbles. Hope it will help the airflow. Thank you so much!

The sides were full of pins, there was no way for most of them to grow. Even on the bottom, there were a lot of them smashed and squeezed.. Well, it's my first grow and I guess I've chosen not the best method. Gonna try rice flour/vermiculite method for the next batch. Thanks a bunch

Thanks for your response I got a question after I've seen the pictures of your DT setup, lids and everything. First of all, thanks for sharing, very helpful. And the shrooms look really gorgeous. The only question I have is about the time of picking them aka harvest. Isn't it better to "start picking the shrooms once the cap is open, but before the veil has broken and released spores" ? According to this rule I was planning to pick some of my babes already, but may be it's not time yet? Cause yours are way more open than just "before the veil has broken"

If you’re already doing bulk growing then there’s no reason to switch over to doing cakes. I would consider trying a liner next time to help with the side pinning and read up on the importance of surface conditions. It would also be beneficial to research the many shoebox and tub teks that are available here in between grows and tweek your set up to fit their directions. Follow those and you’ll eliminate the need for what I’m assuming is the mister you have hooked up to those two tubs.
Picking them just after or right before the veil breaks would be the best time to harvest. Let it go too long and you set yourself to come home to a mess of spores in your tub. HTH.

you can pick em anytime. I have found them more dense the less opened cap. This for me directs me to pick them at intervals maximizing the amount of closed caps, but also minimizing how many times I open the terrarium. The less times you open the terrarium (only for the tub methods) the less likely a contam could get in.
I have grown many different strains and some come closed easier than others.
Currently working on some Golden teachers as the prints were available, but next batch will be with a strain called the wave which should be more similar to KSS super strain (I grew KSS strain for about 7 years, very potent). Those will be bulkier and shorter, the teachers will be taller and bigger, but the strength I think comes from the density, the more dense I can get them the better for me. Then sometimes you got to go to a festival and come back with open caps... Oops, that is from the picture you noted...
Good luck.

That thing you built is not helping you. It's causing a net loss in yield and aesthetic quality if you care about such things.
Take that off. That fuzz on the stipe of your fruits is what you start to see when your FAE/Humidity is out of fuck and things are about to go to shit in a hot minute without enough FAE.
The hydroton on the bottom, pitch it or you're begging for pseudomomas. It's not helping. There's two options that will work infinitely better and are proven performers and just wait until you hear this.
A tub with no holes, flip the lid upside down and leave it alone. or A tub with some small 1/4 holes drilled in just the right spots.
The former: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22337800 The latter: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26140339
The thing that kicks most early growers in the knackers is simplicity. The mind recoils in horror at the idea that just flipping a lid upside down gives results because "It can't be that easy, no way" It is.
Want proof? Look at those threads. Want further proof? Look at my signature. That's a broken jar of spawn shoved in half a gallon of paint then left alone forgotten about with a shopping bag over it. If that can grow mushrooms over a foot tall you can do it without your homemade CPAP machine there.

Assuming you were responding to SGB and not me...
Agreed, on the FAE.
