You just interpreted the liver part it in the dumbest way possible. You should watch the vegan episodes and tell me the vegans dont sound like quacks, while also looking physically a decade older than everyone else.

I didn't interpret anything. He literally said eating raw liver will get you high, and has in the past as well (I've heard his shpiel before). He is the archetypical quack: Fringe theory rooted in shaky data and "natural/evolution" claims, claims the establishment is against him, has a book to sell, has placebo supplements to sell.
I didn't say anything about vegans or carnivore or anything, I specifically said I wouldn't comment on the claims. Debating nutrition is like debating religion these days, everyone just takes whatever incomplete evidence they can find to support whatever ideology they want to be the truth.

Id rather debate the cholesterol part which is was the main subject of this thread.

the book to sell is a bad point IMO, that I find every uses against every doctor with books to sell, if you are passionate about something, and you have seen improvements in people you have treated with it, of course you are going to want to write a book on it, most people with these types of books have released all the info on the internet for free via blog posts and youtube videos and such anyways, the books are just for people that are also passionate about the concept and want to own something physical about it, I usually binge watch these peoples videos and posts like Fung, and Dinicolantonio, and Taubes, and I find the books to be a good addition, a little more structured and thought out

The pain signal released by capsaicin causes an endorphin release which creates a pretty clear and measurable physiological "high". He's implying that raw liver (which he sells in supplement form) is so nutritious that the nutrients produce a high, which is the exact kind of claim you hear from Vitamin D or 'superfruit' powder infomercials at 2am. Even the host who had eaten the liver the guy brought said it didn't get make him feel anything. I've eaten raw liver in the past and the only thing I felt was regret.

Most people. If i say something about nutrition, I probably read it in a texbook. I dont say many controversial things, though.
Right now if longevity is your goal the book states that the opposite of the carnivore diet- vegetarianism- is likely best. Or mediterranean diet.
There is definitely still much to learn about nutrition though. I highly doubt we will ever discover that a pure meat diet is optimal but ai suppose anything is possible.

That has nothing to do with the fact that pretty much every quack fits the same equation though: Fringe theory based in shaky data, claims the establishment hates them, profits off what they're pushing by selling books and/or supplements and/or youtube/blog ads.
Lots of quacks genuinely believe in what they promote. Some are probably even right, but in the majority of cases the reason that the "establishment" rejects their theory is because the current research just doesn't support it, and them and their followers are relying on a level of faith more so than hard evidence to insist that their way is the 'best' way.

Ok well back to cholesterol if you guys are down.
Did you listen to his info, numbers and graphs about cholesterol? I honestly find it interesting and well enough backed up by records for us to sit the fuck down and consider it no matter how legit we think we are with our health and fittnss routine..
Does it stir a thought at all about what you thought in terms of limiting cholesterol and cholesterol = disease?

small dense LDL accumulates in the arterial wall causing atherosclerosis, carbohydrates are conducive to small dense LDL, saturated fats change them to the large fluffy LDL

So you didnt watch or listen to any of it at all. Why does LDL go up while youre fasting? LDL goes UP in hibernating bears. Yet they dont get atherosclerosis. Why do we only get atheroscletosis in arteries and not veins?
The phenomenon of is the prevailing psychology among shroomerites
If you guys were legit youd rebut my arguments like truth seeking professionals, but nope, shroomerites will prefer the route

I did watch it, but he fails to take inconsideration theres different types of LDL
small dense LDL is the type that wedges itself into the arteries causing plaque buildup
large fluffy LDL passes through with no problems
you can get your doctor to test for each but its a unneeded test because your triglyceride / HDL ratio is a proxy marker for the type of LDL
https://time-restricted.com/2018/12/25/is-your-ldl-pattern-a-or-pattern-b
I assume LDL goes up while fasting because you are living off of pure fat, I assume its the safe LDL that rises as carbohydrates generally raise the small dense LDL, not fat
EDIT:
also glycation probably effects the quality of LDL too, when sugar sticks to it

He does talk of the various LDL, almost exactly as you describe but using different terms, describes LDL as a bus, empty or full. So i can safely say that you failed to listen closely. Understandble, as It is a little hard to follow, ive listened to it 3 times
