Do these jars look healthy/ready?

It has been 12 days since inoculation, and half of the jars look like the pic; roughly 95% colonized (visual estimate.) This is pretty fast relative to the usual time frames, presumably because too much spore liquid was used and the jars are very small. Almost fast enough to raise suspicions. And yet, the mycellium appears healthy and has branching tendrils and bright white cottony texture. There are black smudges on the glass - its not from the inside, it is from a sharpie tracking growth by marking the borders.
What do you guys think, are they done? Should they be given a full week for consolidation, or less time because they are so fast growing/small jars? The yield will probably be extremely low given their small size (I think its like 4oz jars.) Should I fruit them from cake, or would it be enough substrate to use for a mini spawn to bulk?

Looks like you used 1/4 pints aka 4oz jars. Its best to use half-pints.
They are almost ready for birthing but not yet. Its best to birth about 1 week after 100% colonization.

Even for fast growing tiny jars? I guess that makes sense if, as you say, the tek is meant to use the small 4oz jars, and their usage here is not unorthodox.

Small jars do grow very fast plus you probably used a lot of solution as well and if the spores were fresh/high concentration, then its even faster.

Yeah, 1cc was used per jar for half the jars, and the other half got .5cc (those jars are at like 15-30% colonization and have stalled growth entirely over the last ~4 days.)
I don't know what to do about the other jars. It seems like injecting more spore syringe liquid would help, but the other side of that coin is it would introduce new spores that would grow out of synch. with the others, and could create contamination.
The "good jars" are sitting on a metal rack holding them 4" above a heating pad at the bottom, with the lid on the small shoebox plastic tote. The air temperature is 84 degrees F, and they are not in direct contact with the heating pad to avoid inconsistent heat distribution. The first week after inoculation it was hot here (85F), but now it has gotten colder (65F). Is this a good idea? Or should I just let them sit in the ~65-70F room?

I would get rid of the heating pad if your room air is of somewhat decent heat. They like 70-80 is what im learning. The jars will run warmer than the air. Anyone please correct me if im wrong.

I think 80 is pushing it a bit. More like 68-75 for colonization.
Mycelium creates heat as it grows, correct.

I was impatient and decided to birth the 2 best jars after 4 days of consolidation. They are doing their 24 hour soak, gonna make a thread with a pic to make sure they look like/done right.

They’re probably fine but I think the reason to let it sit after full colonization is to make sure the core of the cake is done too.
As long as the outside is covered well it seems like it should be fine though, maybe just take a couple extra days before fruiting while it consolidates.
