psilocybe strictipes or psilocybe semilanceata?

so I posted these pictures on shroomery & reddit (r/semilanceata) yesterday asking if these were liberty caps, as mentioned in the original post which I will link below (https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26998117), these were growing upon a grassy hillside with lots of cow dung present, had found verified liberty caps in the same field on the same day, these were growing directly in the center of a liberty cap cluster on some yellowish dead grass, the lack of the bell shaped cap & the thicker stem gave me some immediate doubt so I avoid picking them, however the prominent nipple & gelatinous membrane was still present, along with the rusty brown/purple ish gills... after posting these pictures on reddit, a user who had previously identified some libs for me commented & was as thrown off as I was, however they mentioned this species called psilocybe strictipes (http://www.en.psilosophy.info/species/psilocybe_strictipes.html), after some research, I have become deeply curious as to if this is the species I have found, however obviously being new to this species & the seeming decades of confusion which surround it, I figured I should ask others what they thought?
unfortunately out of action at the minute due to damaging my foot, however as soon as I get back to those fields my plan is to attempt to obtain a spore print, which shall hopefully confirm my find.

They are probably just waterlogged liberty caps. Better images would help though, these are very foggy and unclear.
Psilocybe strictipes is a deprecated name, and is actually conspecific with P. semilanceata.

thankyou for the help, definitely would make more sense, had been a day full of heavy rain when I found these & honestly that was my initial reaction, thought maybe the heavy rain had flattened the caps, have also had multiple people claim they are waterlogged too.
has the confusion with strictipes been officially cleared up, & if so, where can I read more about this? find the decades of mycological confusion so interesting.
