Hey guys, please take your time to help me. I have read so much on the forum in recent months but still seem to fail. My question is, how do I know if RH is sufficient in my monotube? My home was about 21-22 degrees warm. And I had medium-tight polyfill in the 4 lower holes. And in the two upper holes I had a very thin layer of polyfill, so you could almost see through. Also field capacity from the beginning, maybe a little more then field capacity but close to it. But my first flush gave skinny mushrooms with smal caps that abortet and did not grow taller than a finger. Thay seemed to get too little air and too much C02 or RH i guess. So after that I harvested and soaked my monotube. And put it back to fruiting conditions. But this time I removed the upper polyfill completely, and instead I taped half the holes on the upper ones. So that there is a hole on each side up, which is half open on each side. But I saw no condensation on the walls for long time. So I moved an oilradiator close to the monotube. So temp went up to 24 degrees, and even 30 degrees in the air under it. And misted the inside of the walls. Then with the increased temp condensation started to form on the lid and the walls started to dry up, so I misted again and now keep misting the walls because the sub still looks wet. And now I got condensation on the lid. What do you think about this? My thought is that I now get more FAE, and that the element condenses the walls which I continue to spray to keep RH. What do you think guys? I read alot that you want as much FAE as possible, but still keep RH. And I guess that is what I achieve now? Or what do you think?
Your help is very appreciated, thank you, mush love <3

Post pics of your setup if you really want help. Aborts are mostly from sub drying out in my experience. A field capacity soak and a balance between high rh and fae are needed. Ive got morel myc colonizing and its forming into a scletoria. Its a defense from dryness in nature. So now i have to figure out How to hydrate the substrate without contamination.

The best way to know if your monotub has the proper moisture is to give your casing mixture proper moisture, since thats where all the moisture is coming from for monotub step ups.
Also, when you are misting in the tub, there should a slow evaporation rate around your FAE holes while the rest of the water droplets in the tub are still there inbetween daily misting.
U can also tell just by the condition of the mycelium. If the mycelium looks dry and "sickly", then theres too little humidity. If the mycelium looks healthy and moist, then you are all good.
