No kidding man I don’t pay a ton of attention to exotics but I can’t recall ever seeing a tub that dense. I love the caps on a lot of these species here.

Hey guys! Long time no see, i've been stupid busy in my personal life these past few months so there's been little to update until now. Also, I want to let you all know how great a feeling it is to see this thread getting so much attention from well minded individuals! All of your work looks very good and bodes well for the future of cultivation

Temps: 75F
Casing: Peat:Verm Lime
Substrate: Manure, choir, straw, conifer compost, red clay, sand, gypsum, coffee

I managed to get a half pint jar of Papuana to fruit to maturity! I have a 1lb bag of substrate that I got to pin several times but the conditions in that tub are still being dialed in. I had this half pint jar in a big tub w/ perlite and only 2 big holes on the lid. Often in my strategy with exotics I will inoculate several half pint jars of substrate so I can expose the culture to several different styles of chamber/conditions to increase my odds of success, this is a good example of that. The growth below the green lines in the pic is from before I fixed an issue that was causing a fan to blow air around my room. Once I turned it off they grew like normal.
I finally managed to grow Zaps to maturity, here is a pic of them through the wall of the tub. I took the pic through the wall like this this so I wouldn't cause an abort. How did I grow these? Easy, by accident. I neglected this tub for a month because I thought it was dead, I peaked in to see that it had 2" fruit so I sprayed one wall every day until I the day after this pic. The bag this fruited from has been in fruiting conditions for 11 months....... Grainless is the way to go, trust me.
I also got Pseduoaztecorum to pin! I nabbed it for cloining. I had this 1lb bag of substrate in fruiting for 6 months(@75F) with no results! I decided to give it a cold shock by putting it in the fridge for a few days and It started pinning after a week back in 75F conditions.
I have a few other cool things going but they are with species that are currently undescribed that I germinated from gill fragments so I will have to get back to you all once I have their DNA barcoded.

I had received some rather wild pans that were maybe F1 or 2 from a super generous member. Started some and performed unspeakable experiments on them. Some of those are starting to bear fruit...this first tray is a travesty. It’s just sitting in a monotub with a few APE bottles. Conditions are terribly dry. It was definitely dropped at one point. But it’s still pushing some pins out.
  
I have more hope for this second tray. It’s in a better chamber, wasn’t dropped, seems in a better position. Just spotted a tiny pin in it as well. Hopefully more are coming.

In the second tub? It’s a passive system similar to a SGFC. It provides more FAE than a traditional mono but also supplies humidity via the hydroton. So far cubes have done great in it but I didn’t build it to grow cubes. Will see how the Pans fare.

Yeah, humidity-wise it looks great. Casing looks spot on. If you are working from
home, it probably wouldn't hurt to pop the lid open a bunch of times throughout the
day...but maybe hold off on fanning. I was gonna try another mono attempt like this
soon.

Here are a few pics of the pan tray that’s being properly cared for. It’s firing up pins all over, I’m super stoked. Some of the knots and primordia are so tiny it’s crazy.

I’ve had this semilanceata bulk bag colonizing for 21 days and it looks really good just slow. Kinda weary on shaking it in case it doesnt recover because that’s what happened to me last time I did this. But this culture looks much stronger than the last one I ran so maybe it can take it..... but what if it can’t ahhhhhhhhh my mind it a prison of worry.

The good news... the Azurescens pins keep showing up occasionally...
The bad news... they all seem to about before they get more than a couple of centimeters long!

lol I’d be saving up the aborts just waiting til I had enough to dose. That’s awesome you’re so close I’m sure you’ll figure them out soon enough.
It’s gotta be frustrating with the ones that take forever to pin.

Are they subject to aborting if they're wet like pans? I don't know anything about, well anything, but especially azzies.

MycHunt, Azzies love their water. Zero problems with getting wet, I have even watered mine once just the way you water plants.

I’m not sure what is doing it.
There might be something to that captivity thing!
On the one hand I try to keep FAE high, but the inside air is dry now (RH 25-35) and outside it is below freezing. I try to mist every day and keep leaves piled around them so it stays more humid...
I think they’d be happier outside. I have to time things so they are ready to fruit before it freezes next fall so I can keep them outside.
