Could be an ink cap but I'm not sure. Probably not active

Also found these nearby in a different mulch bed in NY Fall.

They do appear “dead” if that’s the right terminology.  Or inactive? Super flimsy. But there are what appear to be new caps popping up out of the mulch at the bases of the inactive mushrooms that I removed. I’ll walk over there now and photo. Thanks

Hey 👋 I am so new to mushrooms that I have no idea how to make a spore print, haha. Let me look around the forum to try and find out. Tks

Checkout bod's easy AF spore printing tek. Basically take a piece of tinfoil, put the cap on it face down, put a glass over it, and let it sit for a few hours or over night.

First ones are common ink cap, you won't be able to take spore prints from that because it will deliquesce and turn into a mess.

Second ones probably some Pholiota?

Both are inactive.

Second ones looks a lot like Armillaria sp.
A white spore print would confirm.
