Cakes contaminated after birth?
    #26997325 - 10/22/20 05:03 AM (3 years, 3 months ago)

Hi fellas,
First time grower here.

I birthed my cakes a week ago, and it doesn't seem to be all white and fluffy as I'd expect. Though one of them started to pin. Is it contamination or am I good to go?

Hard to say from my eyes.. They look very yellow to me but I'm not sure if that is just your lighting.

What I DO know is that you should trim the foil plates they are sitting on to be only just a little bit bigger than the cakes. That foil is way too big.

Thanks. I will definitely do that.

Yellow is bad? What should I look for?

A little yellow should be okay. Thats just metabolites most likely, if you see any green or cloudy gray areas and patches then you should be concerned. I would let it ride out dude.
