When I was younger id eat them like candy. Eat several while picking,( right up the road from where I used to live) call up a ouple buddies and wed just eat handfuls mixed of fresh and dried. End up at the river fucked up handing other people outnthere mushrooms and smoking with everybody. Good times for sure. Now bigger doses are limited to 5gr max. I do love microdosing though

HI All, Found these on 10/17. I guess I was lucky because it was the first time I looked for them. Found another small group the next day. Parked the car and walked straight to them. Haven't seen any since then. I read this thread from beginning to the end a couple times. I have never taken any drug of this type and not sure I want to. Kinda afraid... The three in the pic are a little larger than a silver dollar. Would this be enough to take at once or should I look for more?
I got into this search because we have a new puppy that eats every mushroom he can find. He searches them out. I can walk with him and pay close attention to make sure he doesn't eat one, never see one and he still gets them. I figured out I should determine which ones are dangerous and started learning about them and stumbled upon this site. So far I have found several instances of destroying angels. Some in our subdivision park so I stay away from there with him now.
I have to say hunting for these things is addictive... Mushrooms in general are very interesting.
What can we expect on the Welli front for the rest of the fall? From what I read on here the hunting season seems to be until the first frost. I don't think the heavy woods with the leafs falling will be the place to search. Will large grassy fields be the best place?
Thanks for posting your experiences over the years. These yearly threads are very interesting.

If its your first time I'd eat 1 and see how you feel. These things can be stupid potent and you don't want to have a bad time and miss out on alot of amazing experiences. Congrats on the find and welcome to the club!
Best place to search is anywhere in the Fulton, gwinette, cherokee and surrounding areas that have been disturbed in the last 2-5 years. Like parks, sewer lines, housing developments etc

Found two today. Better than the nothing from last week. Little offshoot from where the normal patch is. I think the big five flooding from the hurricane and then the tropical storm definitely affected my patch. But I'm thankful for these two!

Most I ate before work was probably 5-6 average sized guys fresh. But fresh ones are a different trip to me. Everything gets all sparkley and I get really happy

I could definitely trip st work if I wanted too but always seemed like kind of a waste cause I like to be doing something special while tripping work would just feel mundane, definitely depends on the job tho. The plan for the next trip is to go to an amusement park and ride some coasters, tryna find someone with the balls to dose and ride with me.

Question about habitat. There is a long pathway near my house that follows a creek which floods with heavy rains. In my experience, soil on flood plains is usually loam and not clay.
Do you guys usually find welli in areas besides creeks which often flood? I took a look today and didn't see mushrooms of any type.

These were coming through a rock hole, almost missed them. Hated to take them so young, but with no rain they probably won’t get too much bigger
A few good omens

Then these hiding under the straw

Lacrymaria lacrymabunda, they typically share the same habitat as Caerulescens.
