No condensation
    #26997324 - 10/22/20 05:01 AM (3 years, 3 months ago)

I have 2 boxes that are in fruiting conditions right now and 1 that's colonizing. They don't have any condensation in the walls. Not even the one that's colonizing with taped holes. What could be the problem? I think I had too much fae before, had the 2 top ones open, and then i had condensation in the walls. I introduced a fan yesterday, I don't know if it's that but none has condensation on the walls. It's my first monotubs so I'm a little lost, they don't produce the best results so far.

I've had 2 layer MP tape in the bottom and 1 on top when fruiting. I tried removing 1 layer in bottom and the one on top. Now I'm back to 2 layer bottom and one on top to get the condensation back. Wondering if i should remove the fan

But i see it's kinda hot in the room. 26 Celsius. Normally it's around 23

Share some pictures of your setup. Pictures speak millions of words.

It looks dried out to me. You could try bottom watering a little at a time and seeing if that gets soaked up. Are you misting?

You see there are water droplets all over the mycelium?

All it means is that the temperature of the tub walls isn't reaching the dewpoint of the air.

yes you should be misting when necessary (you want the water droplets to evaporate- dont soak the tub)

you can bottom water, but not necessary imo. there should be enough water in the substrate and from misting

fuzzy feet and long, skinny fruits usually means your mushrooms want to breathe more.

Try increasing your FAE. Remove some of that micropore tape and let them breathe more.

Fuzzy bottoms indicate a need for more FAE and not necessarily from being too humid. Try flipping the lid on your bin, the gaps will allow more air to exchange.
