This is the first real isolation like this I've done/succeeded with. And it's the first tub to produce 100% leucistic fruits. Will the next generation of fruits from these spores consistently produce these results or do I need to continue forward from spore/clone for a couple gens? I took several prints and a couple clones from the tub when I harvested just in case. But I'm not really sure where to go from here.
My original plan was to stabilize this, then attempt a true monokaryon cross with var. Rustywhyte. I'd really like to bring the red spores over to the leu sat to create my own unique variety. I'd call it South African Rust ๐๐
Any advice on how to accomplish this would be graciously welcomed brothers โค

Pasty would be a good person to ask since he stabilized RW. Iโm gonna try to get red sporeS over to PE this year. Iโm also working on a PE/AA+ cross.. very early stages of the attempt though.. itโs exciting for sure

Yeah I was actually planning on asking pasty about it once I actually get to that point, maybe he will pop in here ๐ค.
Man a red spore PE would be badass! How do you plan on doing it? I was planning on doing a super simple serial dilution to try to get some single spore germination of each on a plate>monokaryon spawn jars then mix the jars in a tub with sub. I've also seen that you can put them both on a plate and try to isolate new growth offshoots after the 2 monos clamp. I honestly don't know much about it yet though so my bad if I'm spouting misinformation ๐

The PE/Aa+ I swabbed to the same swab and made into a spore solution and knocked up 4 pf cakes... theyโre almost @ 100%

Hoping to see something from those.. I figure since PE pins much slower, if I see something besides all white (aa+) pins come up at the same time as the aa+ pins, thereโs a good chance theyโre a mix.
Also went straight to grain (mostly shits and giggles) and made some glc and knocked up 2 qts to make a mini. Itโs worked out on all fronts so far as making spore solution from the swabs goes.. just shook the qts yesterday.. this is before the shake

I made a tiny bulk sub container with the glc grains thatโs kicking along

So hopefully in about a week Iโll see different colored pins at the same time.. I have high hopes because of the spores taken on the same swab.
For the red spore PE, I have pf red spore and Colombian rust spore syringes that I mixed With PE spore solution And knocked up some cakes... those were SW syringes and have only had clean syringes from them so I went ahead and did some mixed SS straight to grain in jelly jars for glc.. I think this is the PE/CRS right before I shook it yesterday

I donโt have as high of hopes for those but I figure at least Iโll end up with fruits from each that I can then double swab like the pea+ and go from there. Basically Iโm over here trying to get lucky. I consider myself a lucky guy sometimes though

So I saw some pictures of a shoebox someone did that had a few of these leucistic fruits in it and got a spore print from him. From there I went to agar, which I'm kinda lazy about. I let a spore plate get to pins while going to grain with my t1 plate. I cloned a leucistic pin from the pinning spore plate to a new plate and put that to grains as well. About the same time, my original t1 spawn was starting to fruit in a mono. I got a few light colored fruits in one corner on that tub but mostly normal fruits. After that I isolated a good looking section of myc from the leucistic pin plate, then moved to grain. The tub from those jars came out like 80% leucistic. I cloned a really nice one from that tub and isolated a nice piece of myc again. This tub is the result of that. Overall it's been probably 3-4 months since I got the spores.
