Whether you go premade or build your own greenhouse make sure its air tight or else the moisture will leak out and cause mold issues. and to get air tight if you use an exhaust fan, which you will need for the Oysters when you go for those. The plastic if folded over each other and such will pull air tight, if you let it, from the suction of the exhaust.

Sorry what do you mean by plastic folded over each other?

For enoki and virtually everything else I always just used hardwood fuel pellets, hydrated with boiling water right in the bags, and open-air spawned a full quart of spawn for each one.  But you could always go the supplemented route and use less spawn that way, if you want to sterilize substrates and spawn in front of a hood.

So you fill up the entire 40lb bag with boiling water?

No, I meant in filter patch grow bags.  You usually put a measure amount of fuel pellets in each bag, then pour your measured amount of boiling water over them.

If you did that in the bag they came in, you'd have a whole huge mess as they expand quite a bit

Just overlapping and covering all holes is all. Its not this huge suction type situation that will pull it in, unless maybe you only overlap an inch or two.

Cool, so I'll probably get some injectable 1qt jar lids and start making some spawn after I get my spores ordered.

Oh and I probably need a bigger pressure cooker now too, lol.

I hope your ordering live enoki culture in syringe, not spores, but I assume you probably are.  Re-check on the web page to make sure.

My bad, i guess I'm used to working with spore syringes in the past.

Any opinions on a grow tents like this, https://www.amazon.com/VIVOSUN-Hydroponic-Observation-Window-Growing/dp/B01DXYMQ9M?tag=gardenersyards-20

I like this tent because it seems more air tight unlike the cheap greenhouses, but I'm unsure if that's worth the extra cost or not. The extra humidity that would come out of the unsealed greenhouses probably wouldn't matter much in the winter but in the summer it might cause an issue in such a small area?

I've never used one like that, but it looks cool.  I wouldn't spend the extra money on it personally though.  I left my cheap greenhouse unzipped almost all the time to grow oysters and still had enough humidity.

Like Forrester said, my greenhouse is less than airtight at best, often leaving the door slightly unzipped.  If you have a proper exhaust system on your grow you should be drawing negative pressure in your greenhouse.  Moisture escaping from anywhere other than your exhaust shouldn't be an issue...
The flooring issue is another can of worms...especially it being plywood!

How often do you guys run your exhaust fans for?

The flooring is a concern but whatever greenhouse I make or buy I will set it into a pan of some sort to keep water off the floor. Maybe I'll line it with perlite or something.

I never had an exhaust fan.  Just left the front door unzipped partly

Twenty-four...Seven!!  Exhaust is always on with intermittent humidity.  Exhausted on bottom corner, humidity fed into opposing top corner.

However,I'm growing species that are much more needy when it comes to fresh air.  You may find a better way.  I just suggested the negative pressure inn your greenhouse to help alleviate your worry of moisture escaping the tent!  Plus i find it easier to leave the exhaust constant and just adjust humidity times.

I had to go back and read your 1st post. You have a 4 x 8 room I have a 4 x 10 room and I can row 120 lbs a week in my room.

Anyway, for oysters, you are going to need as much air exchange as you can get without causing the humidity to drop. I use a high-pressure humidification system so I have no problem with humidity. I have a 4" exhaust fan that I leave on 24/7. If you need the best humidification system on the market I have a kit to build a high-pressure system from a pressure washer. It works great and no cleaning of the system.

So your exhaust fan running 24/7 doesn't cause humidity to constantly drop?

My system runs for 10 seconds every 10 mins to keep it between 90 and 97%. It never goes below 90% and never goes above 97%. The pressure washer turns on at 90% and turns off at 93% because my sensor can't keep up with how fast it puts humidity in. The humidity continues to rise until 97% then starts to fall.
