I picked contamination but I'm only at the rinsing stage for these.
One of the little hitlers.

I put a few quarts in my rinsing bucket and noticed some of the wheat was stuck together in little logs. I picked one out and tried to pull it apart and these are inside them. Mealworms or some kind of larvae. I don't know.
I bought 100kg of this nonsense so what do I do here? Bring it back and claim it was for beer brewing and as much as I love Mezcal it's not happening?
I know they'll die in the PC but I'm pretty sure burst bug guts is going to be a contamination vector at some point. Anyone ever dealt with this and managed to get them out? Do an extended soak and hope they burst out of their sticky little shitlogs and swim to the surface?
It's always something I swear.

Yar I was reading that but I think that's more on how to keep the bugs out. These bugs are in and I want them out. Some sort of moth maggots, indiameal or wheat moth.
Just picked up 100kg of this today and up until now never had any bug problems since I store my grains in gigantic sealed garbage bins. These came factory fresh with the squirmy little facks.
Put the bags outside because I don't want them touching my Froot Loops. I might be able to sift them out but fuck me running I don't need more crap in my spawn.

Yeah.. I liked WBS but it feels painfully slow even after a long soak I don't believe I got it hydrated enough. Wanted to give wheat a whirl because it was on $10 for 25kg and I got tired of picking corn out of my fuckin oats. Where's the cordyceps at maybe militaris will like this tomfuckery.

Kinda looks like a mealworm. If it is, they may pupate or some may already have, in which case you'll have beetles eventually, and they'll breed. More justification for using the diatomaceous earth IMO. If the bag was freshly loaded and you find more than one, the processing facility may have some level of infestation, in which case I'd definitely call or make a return visit about the worms to see what could be done business-wise. I know I'd be pissed about it.
